I'm sure it is. I know with preemies they say sucking is like a pain relief for them (they asked could Wee James have a dummy because it may help when he ws having injections/lines put in etc) so maybe it still applies when their older?

Wee James is now over 6lb! He's still in SCBU and has had quite a few ups and downs recently, the little mite hasn't moved up any bed space yet. He's still the furthest bed into room 4, once he starts moving towards the door then into room 3 we know he's doing lots better :A
Thanks for the update, I was wondering how he was doing, hope he moves up beds soon! How are his mummy & daddy holding up?

    Happy Anniversary. :D

And next September we'll have to start thinking about big school.
It seems a lot from our school move county for big school and go across to Neston - I didn't realise you could go to school out of county.
Our nearest big school is minging and I really don't want L to go there. :( If she doesn't do the 11+, she may well be going over your way.

Some of the new ones going into reception this morning were far to tiny to be going to school! :(

    We miss you Weezl! :rotfl:
I went to school out of county :D start your research coz I think you have to contact the 'other' county ASAP (the process has changed since but I think that bit still stands :))

Sorry to nip in and lower the tone of the thread! Just wanted to know when its best to think about introducing the potty. I was going to wait quite a bit longer and havent really thought about it. But for the last couple of week Leila will grab me and tell me 'poo' repeatedly (in a surprised little voice) about 30 secs before she does it. Before she was only telling me afterwards. I dont want to think her efforts are going to waste so she stops telling me and then I miss a golden (or brown!) opportunity. What do you lovely lot think?

    (she's now 14.5 months )
I'd whip it out now, stick her on it and see what happens, she might get upset, she might love it, plus emptying a potty is easier than wiping a botty cover in poop

Happy Birthdays and anniversary to those concerned _party_

DS is seeeeeeeeeeeeeriously getting on my wick. How did my sweet little boy get such a stinking bad attitude??? grrrr.
I've sent him up to his room, i can't even look at him when he's being like this.

When's he back at school Beenie? L was absolutely horrible yesterday, doing lots of that wobbly head attitude. I said if her head doesn't stop wobbling like that when she's talking, i'm taking her to the Drs. :rotfl: I blamed it on the excitment of going back to school. She was much nicer this morning. :D

Mooki I don't suppose it's ever to early to introduce a potty, at least she'll get used to it and learn what it's for, even if it does take a while for her to use it. V does a poop in her nappy and then tells me 'poooooo'.

Mooki, seems a little young but then only you know your child. Usually they start with just a wee on the potty, but if you want to have a go then do. Mind you're sometimes better with no.2's to get a toilet seat and go there, much easier.
Too many children, too little time!!!

:o Little tip though, never turn your back with a potty as younger ones tend to play with it!!! :rotfl:

Although i am worried about whether we'll be up on time cos this morning, i put Amber in bed with me (in my sleep) and she slept til 9am. And i did set my alarms for a practice run but slept through them all :o:o:o

No, he's just as bad as me. He's been sleeping in my bed for a while now and i set one of those horrible squawking alarms which is sat on the headboard, and loads of alarms on my phone and he sleeps through them too :o

Think I might stick the potty in the corner of the room next weekend by the sofa where hubby sits. Knowing him she'll use it and he'll put his foot in it! Although I think I might invest in a toilet seat thingy like Tara suggested xxx

Ah thanks for this. I was worried about Lily not hardly having any.

But i worked out she's having 944cals a day from bottles and she usually has 2 meals.

But then again, she does be sick alot...

Going to get her weighed today :D

We do that and Lily sleeps from 8pm - 7:30/8am.

Except last night, she was up every two hours crying. She had a nappy change at 12:30am and some calpol and then we just kept putting her dummy back and she slept until 8:30am

Im about to write my resignation letter to work. I dont have a clue what to write though. I might google a sample letter and just edit it :D

Is she teething? I am wondering if thats whats wrong with E cos he is being the biggest whinger ever today

Red - Thanks, weve tried that one night and the next day he was hoorendous with wind :(

LOL my brother ate his poo once lol, mam caught him, he'd took his nappy off and started eating it
