Ah cool thanks gill, ll the baby porridge we tried didnt seem to agree with his tummy
Tara so hes having roughly 1500ml of milk. so thats 975kcal of milk? yes he has a dummy, I was going to attempt the giving him water instead of bottle tonight... I think
I currently have a little boy refusing to nap :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: im gonna go crazy today
I personally wouldn't bother with the water, just give him his dummy, DD1 asked me this question only a month ago as she wanted to get Poppie through the night, 2 sleeplees nights then she was sorted. Now she goes 12hrs. Maddy has since a few weeks old. Just grit your teeth and be tough. :AToo many children, too little time!!!0 -

Yep I agree with the re-dummying strategy;)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

E and I are stood outside in the car-park watching cars go through the exit barriers... He applauds and shouts "open open OPEN!" As they rise, then applauds and shouts "shut DOWN DOWN" as they close. I have a baby who prefers to drink her porridge, and she does it really well actually, I just hold the pot to her lips and she drinks. Its less messy and way faster, I dont know why she just doesnt seem to like the spoon other than to wave it around and chew.I think she's sprouting more new teeth, all she wants is to be on the boob. My nipples are on fire like they haven't been since she was about three weeks old
It does settle down once they're used to the teeth being there... Otherwise I wouldn't have fed one till she was nearly 3 and this one with nearly a full set...I'm not impressed as I appear to have come on. Surely I should have got longer than this with exclusively bfing???
Becky, the pain at the beginning of the feed is often known as the 20 second toe curler... What it means is when she starts sucking the nipple is not in the best position so it is rubbing against the hard palate part of her mouth (put your tongue to the back of the mouth, feel where the hard part turns to the soft squishy bit? The nipple should be right back there against the squishy bit) the reason it eases is because as she feeds the nipple moves further back so it is in a better position. The best thing to do in this situation is make sure the feed starts with a really big wide open mouth...
Frequent feeding is really common... When they're tiny their tummies are about the size of their fist... It fills up quickly and is digested quickly too... As they get bigger, they feed more efficiently so they get more milk in a shorter time and they go a bit longer between feeds... But for now, the best thing you can do is sit down with the tv remote in one hand and a drink in the other and just go with the flow... Everything else will still be there when she comes out of the other side of the frequent feeding...
And I caught up one handed but managed to type this with 2 hands while my monkey scraped a coat hanger up and down the radiator like a small boy with a stick and some railings...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Happy Anniversary.
And next September we'll have to start thinking about big school.
It seems a lot from our school move county for big school and go across to Neston - I didn't realise you could go to school out of county.
Our nearest big school is minging and I really don't want L to go there. If she doesn't do the 11+, she may well be going over your way.
Some of the new ones going into reception this morning were far to tiny to be going to school!1014 i think

She doesn't realise that when I agree to catch up with a cuppa at hers after work, it means I have made arrangement for L to be cared for, sacrificed the couple of hours I would have got to see him that day and put in all the effort. For her to cancel the day before telling me she has made plans with someone else is damn right rude, and me not responding to her is me also telling her I'm annoyed...grr!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
