I'm still pukey and achey and ming but i am now thinking it is necessary to cancel meeting a Very Important Friend tomorrow, but i have been fannying about for about 3 weeks now and i hate letting people down and proving myself to be the most unreliable useless friend in the world :( This is why i have practically no friends! I was thinking i could be a bit better now but after the scene i caused at swimming lessons tonight i am thinking docs might be a good idea :o
It's not your fault that your ill and you can't really predict how long being ill lasts. I had worked out that you probably would be too ill but I didn't like to say anything in case it either sounded like I didn't want you to come or it made you feel like you ought to come even if you were too ill. And you are not an unreliable and useless friend. Hope the doctors is useful and you are feeling better soon.

On a totally unrelated note  I was surprised to notice Susan is the highest poster of this thread.
I was  when I noticed last week. I think it's partly because I stopped combining all my replies to people into one big post and partly because other people who were more prolific posters have posted less which makes mine a higher proportion of the total. Also the slower speed of the thread means there's less likely to already be replies to things which makes me more likely to reply. And I've clearly been giving that far too much thought. :o

Sorry for posting sad news yesterday. I was being selfish and only posted it because I wanted a bit of support and just ended up getting more upset because I was ignored.

Have a good day all xx

Im considering taking Miss bop to a karate type class thing along at where her nursery is (its a communty center thing too) Not sure of the prices or anything though, might be worth taking her along to see if she enjoys it.

Plus if she is going to have to go to that scabby school, she needs to learn how to take down mean kids with a single blow :rotfl: Plus she is so sensitive that If someone did hit her, she'd just cry and take a beating. This could give her some confidence. (I dont mean to go around beating other kids up tho lol)
I had a friend in sixth form who did karate and she said one of the rules was that you should only use it in self defence so I wouldn't think it would make her go round beating everyone up.

My fairies have a paperback copy of Gill Rapley's Baby Led Weaning book. It's the one that was free with one of the parenting magazines a while ago. No pictures or anything in it, but quite useful. Shout up if you would like it.

Kindof- my fairies still haven't made it to the post office, I'm afraid. I will suitable reprimand them and send them on their way!

Don't worry sometimes the faries are really busy lol

Michelle - yes it's blowing a gail here as well

Cafc - I would like mammy and baby, if we were to just buy one present i would want it to be baby

Kitkat- I used the ttctn anti colic bottle, and we used colief drops, and comfort milk till e was about 24 weeks old, and I found them very good, they helped with the wind a lot, they are a faff though, on the other side I don't know what worked if u know what i mean, wheter it was the drops, the milk or the bottles, we tried gripe water and infacol first and they didn't do anything for e

  • And because you are a fab helpful person too Susan :) No SB for me this morning and no answer from BP either (mind you, it isn't office hours yet, so on that front I'm being a bit impatient!) I'm still waiting for a redeem from Toluna since April (and the support log I raised with them in August hasn't been answered either). Maybe I should cut my losses and go back to entering competitions instead ;)

Possible a silly question - when you're defrosting expressed breast milk...am I right in thinking you have 24 hours? Is that 24 hours from removing it from the freezer and putting it in the fridge, or 24 hours from it defrosting? I'm at a hen do on Sat so DH is doing all feeds including through the night :j:j:j and I want to make it as easy as possible for him. (foolproof lol)
I used to get out the milk for the following day's 10/10.30pm feed and put it in the fridge before I went to bed (so around 9pm) and we never had any problems. Assuming you defrost in the fridge, I can't see why it wouldn't last longer than 24 hours assuming you froze it fairly quickly given that it lasts six days in the fridge when fresh. Apparently when it does go off it smells pretty bad so is quite obvious. (But I don't know from experience as it never happened to us.)

  • Beccles I've crossposted with you. Sorry you felt that way yesterday. I was skim reading, and didn't reply to many people yesterday evening, but sorry I ignored you. It wasn't delibarate, just me being rubbish. Do you feel better today? How is Charlotte getting on at school? It must be everso weird!

I'm sorry, Becles, I was in and out with Molly last night and meant to PM you a little :grouphug: but ended up taking her to bed and staying there.

    Feel better soon Beenie xxx

Ladies, Nuby have 50% off all breast pumps with the code "bounty". It's only for people who like their Facebook page though.

I need to get dressed and go out. Still snotty and headachey and covered in massive welts from the mosquito bites but we're off to Gymboree and then onwards and upwards to see if I can get my Wies'n (Oktoberfest) lunch today!
