Mum has said she would like the book by the dowager Duchess of Devonshire. She's doing a book signing in town tomorrow so I'm hoping to go and get one signed.

I didn't know the Duke had died :( although google tells me I am 6 years too late.

I played at Chatsworth with my brass band when I was young - the duke and duchess were more than lovely and took time to speak to every one of use, despite it being a big charity Christmas event. We played at the top of a grand staircase and my overriding memory is that there was an old tin bath tucked away under the next flight up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you get your book signed. x

I'm still pukey and achey and ming but i am now thinking it is necessary to cancel meeting a Very Important Friend tomorrow, but i have been fannying about for about 3 weeks now and i hate letting people down and proving myself to be the most unreliable useless friend in the world :( This is why i have practically no friends! I was thinking i could be a bit better now but after the scene i caused at swimming lessons tonight i am thinking docs might be a good idea :o

On a totally unrelated note  I was surprised to notice Susan is the highest poster of this thread.

I found it searching google images and could only find an American site but they do post to the UK. http://www.buycostumes.com/Little-Pirate-with-Scarf-Infant-Toddler-Costume/62164/ProductDetail.aspx?REF=AFC-creator&AID=10425830&PID=3999051

It is very very cute eh?

I was going to order a costume from there for a party next week. They charge $30 shipping  plus you'll be hit with the import tax.
  • WM - I don't know if I am a good boss or she is a wonderful assistant - she has been a rock for me for 5 years, I am so sad that I can't keep her with me. When I am rich and famous I will get her back!!

    In baby news:
I am SO pleased that Waybuloo has moved into the bedtime cbeebies hour. Benjamin used to love it but hasn't watched it for ages. Tonight we were watching it and I got on the floor to do the yogo positions and Benjamin came and did some with me :T:T

When hubby arrived home we were both laying on the living room floor alternately sticking our feet then our hands in the air copying each other

Im considering taking Miss bop to a karate type class thing along at where her nursery is (its a communty center thing too) Not sure of the prices or anything though, might be worth taking her along to see if she enjoys it.

Plus if she is going to have to go to that scabby school, she needs to learn how to take down mean kids with a single blow :rotfl: Plus she is so sensitive that If someone did hit her, she'd just cry and take a beating. This could give her some confidence. (I dont mean to go around beating other kids up tho lol)

Regarding secret santa.. how about if its £10, what about £5 for a mummy gift and the other £5 for a baby gift. I suppose it might get complicated if you have more than one child.. but its an idea (please say if this is stupid my brain is mush tonight!)

CAFC... please can you add me to the list for secret santa :) I love the idea of it, and how organised are you!? I'm very impressed!

Cant remember who posted the pic of the baby tights but I love them!! I so want some for Theo!!

Can someone please offer me some baby bottle advice please... A lovely family member gave baby Theo some boots vouchers as a gift, one of them we wana use for new bottles (the bigger size ones) as I need to pick up some bits from there soon I thought I would get the bottles sorted. So far we have been using TT CTN bottles, I was going to buy the TT anti colic bottles but the reviews are a bit mixed, however the Dr Brown bottles have really good reviews. I thought about maybe buying one and trying Theo with it, does anyone have any experience of Dr Browns with a typically windy baby? Is it okay to change types of bottles/ teats with such a young baby?

I am not sure but OH seems keen to try something as Theo hangs onto his burps, help please!!!

Still feeling sad and a bit lonely as Craig went to bed early as he's poorly. Think I'll join him and hopefully I'll feel brighter in the morning.
Here I go again on my own....

Buy one and see how he goes, I think Kindofagil uses Dr.Browns and she said it does take time to see any difference.

In my experience it's not problem changing teats and bottles to get one that suits. But once you do get one that suits, stick to it.

Have you tried infacol or gripe water or anything?

How do you wind him? Have you tried walking up stairs, cycling his legs, rocking him on your knee (more of a wide circle than rocking). Sorry if you have and you think I'm talking to you life your daft, I'm not it just took me ages to work that out on my own.
