I hate to say it but it was putting times to mealtimes that made it all work for us. We breakfast at 8am, lunch at 12 noon and dinner at 5pm - if he doesn't eat at those intervals then he is a grumpy babba - and his hungry grumpy is very similar to his tired grumpy :(

We do vary slightly but not by far.

This is what I'm thinking, maybe a should set times, it would then help me plan my day better too.

It's why I need a break next week, my acne on my back is breaking out again and I have a very sore mouth ulcer, all stress related.

Som - I breakfast done by 8am, lunch by 12 and tea by 5 when Katie was small.

Breakfast and lunch are still around the same times but tea has moved to between 5.30 and 6pm, depending on what I'm making.

I've just had a lush pizza for dinner which was quite MSE (IMO!) so I thought I'd share it with you! I adapted it from the new Nigella book and another cookbook called Takeaway Secret which imitates fast food/restaurant/takeaway recipes. Its basically a thick pancake batter baked for 30 mins, then some pizza sauce and toppings chucked on, so depending on what you top it with it could be very :money:

    For the base:
    1 egg
    100g plain flour
    250ml milk
    50g grated cheese
Mix together and bake for 30 mins in a greased pie dish on gas 6. (I used 2 casserole dish lids and it easily made two, one a little smaller than a side plate and one a little smaller than a dinner plate!) Then add toppings and bake til toppings are cooked/melted.

    For the sauce:
    3 tbsp tomato puree
    2 tbsp olive oil
    1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs
    large pinch salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    Pinch onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (I didnt have any in so used smoked paprika)
3-6 tbsp water (depending how thick you want it)

    Toppings:
Whatever you fancy! We had salami, mushrooms, onion and cheese.

The sauce taste really quite Dominoes-esque
I'd imagine you could leave the egg out of the pancake batter a la Weezl's CFR pancakes if you wanted to. Its definitely going on our favourite meals list!

  • Hi
I am excited and terrified - very nearly prepared or will be today when I have completed my handover notes for care of H and my packing stuff. Can't be till next thursday at earliest though as my parents are in scotland until then so will have a major panic if before then.

Quick question - I have finally got a wardrobe for H so now need some small hangers quite quickly. I couldn't see any in Tesco on my searches but does anyone know if they do any? Couldn't see any on Argos website either so I may have to brave mothercare later (only other shop I can be bothered to go to).

    I got some from asda

Lol sorry beanie, I joined it but it's totally confused me

Well I'm off to bed, let's see if e can repeat his night, i am not too hopeful cos he's woke up twice already side 7, but vie got my fingers crossed still

Has anyone got any andrex toilet roll with the puppy points codes, who isn't collecting the points? I've been saving for a puppy but it says that it finishes on the 30th September.

Kindof - it's really easy. All you need to do is use it as a search engine, or just make random searches. Every so often you win swagbucks. When you get enough swagbucks you use them to 'buy' a free amazon voucher. You don't need to worry about the extra stuff.

Hope that gets you (and Beenie!) some swagbucks now :)

  • Em, pizza sounds fab! Might give it a whirl (seeing as I don't cook normally!).

Gill, sorry don't have any codes but the puppies are super cute! I won one from their FB page a while back.

MDW, hope everything sorts out soon x
