Susan, unfortunately not all Drs are particularly aware of what they are prescribing people. My aunty (pharmacist) always used to go through my grandad's prescriptions, and the number of times he was given medicines that should not have been taken with others he had was astonishing. All to often they reach for the BNF and that's it.
True but I would have expcted the midwife to know and I had consultant care (because of the hyperemesis) so you would have thought they would too since there's a much smaller range of medicines used in pregnancy. I didn't really see my GP after he prescribed it. But then one doctor wrote "feeling much better" on my notes when I said I was still just as bad so obviously wasn't paying much attention.

CAFC - I agree with everyone else STOP WORRYING!!!!! Landen is doing really well judging by your pics. If he's still not doing those things you mentioned in a month then it might be time to check....but I can guarantee he will be and you'll be worrying about something else. To put things things into perspective T rolled from back to front at 16 weeks but only just figured out front to back yesterday. (nearly 21 weeks!) but Ayana (15 weeks) and Ava have both rolled front to back this week.

I must be really mean - I just keep kicking OH until he wakes up.

:rotfl: i'm in the kicking club too, amazing how he can not her lo crying but a car door outside sends him curtain twitching............

susan i had hyperemesis with this pregnancy, was in hospital 3 times being rehydrated, i remember the doctor happily informing me i would feel loads better by 12-14 weeks, i just looked at him and growled that i was 16 weeks already, so sometimes they obviously have no idea whats going on!! but i was fine with my first pregnancy, wonder if it was cos it was a boy??

michelle, i'm jealous of your bargain playmat, i thought i did well with getting one for £16.20, now it just seems rubbish!!!

jillie, your oh sounds like mine, he'll jog off to golf at 8 saturday morning saying he'll be back soon then roll in at 8 at night saying he's just stopped for a few drinks and doesn't seem to grasp the fact that the whole day is over, and sat is when we tend to do things as sunday i see more as a job/ironing etc day

Does anyone know roughly how long Approved Foods order take to come? I placed one on Friday, but can't remember how many days it took last time I did one. I know they left it at some random man on my street's house, because I was hugely pregnant and had to get him to carry it home for me. :D

I think there was a study done in Sweden where they found that 53% of those admitted to hospital with HG had girls so it's slightly more likely with girls.

Did anyone else's rugrat go through a ridiculously impossible stage when learning to stand??

I know it's just frustration on her part but i'm getting fed up of the whining!! Wants to be up, wants to be down, wants to crawl, wants t stand, wants to kneel, doesn't know what she wants so she'll just WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

I don't handle kids crying very well, makes me    lol!

edit - and because of the above my decorating has been paused for 2 days! I wanted it finished by now but am not even halfway there

Have just signed up 4 baby massage - 4 week course at local children centre - first class is on Wed really looking forward to it.

Michelle yeah for e-bay bargain and joining the roly poly club.

CAFC - honestly we all worry about something - highlights for me so far are A not putting on enough weight, not doing a poo for a week and the latest since I went out the other night and she had two bottles she won't feed properly she keeps crying and not latching on properly.

All the bf out there have I given her nipple confusion? Shes hungry but the minute I put her near the nipple for a feed she screams eventually she does take it and once latched on she feeds lovely, previously she always latched straight on no problems.

    Thanks all....

Its not so much that L cant do these things (and Im not expecting him to be doing ALL of them- they were just examples).... its more me....
I dont think I'm supporting him enough to give him to opportunity to learn to do these things....i dont know if that makes sense, but he goes from his swing for naps to his play pen to kick about when i need the loo or to do stuff, and then some time in his rocker chair with activity bar, and then laps for feeds....
I just feel like I should be doing more (not him so much), but i dont really know how to entertain him or introduce anything new to him...
its probably not making much sense, but im more just phished at myself...
When Alice was that age, in the little time she wasn't being fed etc. or having a nap I deliberately made sure I wasn't doing stuff with her all the time because I didn't want her to end up expecting me to be always doing stuff directly with her. Obviously I did stuff with her some of the time but I also used to put her in the bouncy chair (or bumbo or high chair as she got a bit older) with a toy to watch while I was doing things and would just talk to her about what I was doing.

Im north west- Mam is def a mancunian word. :D

My MIL always signs her cards to us Mam..

Poo night last night just to follow a pooey weekend. William awake 6 times and decided that 3am :eek:was a good time to stand up in his cot banging the wall (reminder to lower cot again!) so brought him into our bed where OH eventually settled him only for Henry to wake up crying for OH and going mental every time I even touched him. Cue me on the sofa from 3.30am and them 3 in the bed! Just great when I have stinking cold and cough:mad:

Henry was playing up all day and wouldnt have a nap... Took him to park to play with model boat and he didnt want to (despite going on about it for the whole week), messed about when my parents were round for dinner and ended up being sent to his room plus kicking me in the face. Saturday was just as bad even though we went out for the day as it was Open House in London (lots of buildings you can go in for free) plus train rides....dont know what is wrong with him lately...

Still good news is William can not only stand up but take a couple of steps along the sofa as well (holding on) - walking here we come!!

And I missed out on xmas pressie on Ebay for OH by a £1...

    Rant over - cheers
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
