CAFC, I keep meaning to ask , what size clothes does Landen wear.

I have a lovely Cardigan, its either J by Jasper Conran or John Rocher.
Its 3-6 months and its turquoise, with bright coloured stripes and is fury inside, very thick and cosy. Its like new and it's a shame for it to be sitting in the wardrobe, when another little baby can be all cosy wearing it in this yacky weather.

If you or anyone would like it give me a shout, I can send pic or post one when i get my backside in gear.

my ironing mountain now at least has a dent in it and the carpet has been vacuumed for the first time since dd was born :T

has anyone got a yummy christmas cake recipe? i want to try making my own this year and maybe a few little ones as presents if it goes well, have found loads online but can't tell if they're any good or not....

Front door painted, 6l of chutney in the jam kettle (I have sore hands from all the apple peeling!), washing hung out and another load on. Now time for a sit down and a hot chocolate before I crack on with the washing up. I have a tesco delivery coming some point between 12-2. I'm hoping they come nearer 2, as I need to tidy up a bit first, but what's the betting they turn up early

Jillie we have the same problem here. Less so now she is a bit older (and more interesting), but he has a saturday afternoon routine which involves going to the pub, and he won't change it for the world. Now she has a nap after lunch, so I call him when she wakes up and tell him it is time to come home, and that she is asking for him, which sometimes works

I've not left him in charge in the evening yet though. Mainly because most of my friends live miles away, so my evening social life either revolved around people coming to ours for the weekend (which still happens occasionally), me going to see other people (which still happens sometimes too, but I take Izzy with me, and DH sulks because he misses us, but can only express it by being a twunk), or going off to gigs in London, which is a bit far for now. (especially seeing as I wouldn't get a lie in). I need to have a girls gossiping night at the pub or something!

Susan great news if you now know it was the piriton but grrr at stupid doctors! My uncle who's not really my uncle IYKWIM suffers from anxiety and depression, a while ago he was feeling awful constantly and was referred to a new doctor who found that the 3 different doctors he was already seeing had prescribed medicines that shouldn't be taken together , I can't believe that all 3 of them hadn't checked and that pharmacists had been dispensing them together too!

Forum was down last night due to a massive server crash, poor MSE Webby was working very late!

I'm suffering Mummy guilt atm because Chris was up twice in the night with diawoowoo Ed had a nasty nappy at about 8pm too and I'm thinking it was either the chinese we had on Fri night or maybe that MIL baked a cake with Chris on sat and he licked the beaters and Ed tried some too She also cooked a proper carbonara but I'm sure the egg is cooked enough it that isn't it? can't think of anything else it could be

It is super quiet here today.

Ladybird and Becky, sounds like you've both had busy mornings. I've been attempting to sort the kitchen as it seems to be turning into a dumping ground.

I forgot to tell you about our nighttime adventures. Izzy woke in the night, and when I went in to her she was starkers! No idea how long she had been awake, but she was freezing - not sure if she had just been playing quietly for a while, or took everything off and went back to sleeep? She had wet the bed, and was yelling for me because that made her realise a nappy would be a good idea I think!

I was up about half an hour getting her changed, bed clothes changed, and getting her to calm down to go back to sleep. She still sat in bed chatting to iggle piggle for ages, which was very sweet, but at 3am I just wanted to go back to sleep myself! I'm so glad that she doesn't wake up very often any more!

thankfully i've got most of it done as baby has decided shes feeding for the rest of the day, am hoping she unclamps in time for the school pick up later.

our dumping ground is the nursery atm as there is no permanent resident as yet, might have to find a space in the cot at some point.:o

Ladybird - inspired by your winning swag buck searches I have taken to searching random stuff and my last two winning searches were... Im not a bot give me swagbucks...and...more swagbucks please.

Stupid drainage sucky lorry thing woke up my baby girl after only 15 minutes of her morning nap, bonus OH was home tho as he could entertain her so was still able to get on with my normal morning stuffs, however she's a lil grumpzilla now and wont go back off Will resort to a bath to calm her down shortly.

CAFC - they all do things at different times. I was just saying to someone else that Charlotte was still flat on her back at 10 months, yet James was walking at 9 months. However James barely said a word until he was 3, but Josh and Charlotte were advanced with speech. James could ride a bike without stablisers at 3, Josh only learned when he was 10 and Charlotte hasn't shown any interest at all in bikes yet! They all get there in the end though, so just chill and enjoy him.

I was the same as that! I think it helps with their speech if you talk about what you are doing as they are learning the names of items even if they can't say them. Even if I was doing something boring like cleaning the bathroom, I'd put Charlotte's bouncy chair in the doorway and give her a running commentary on what I was doing.

I've got one somewhere. I'll dig it out and post it later.

It's a special recipe as I was given it by my Great-Nana, who probably got it from her mother, and so on! She used to make a lovely Christmas cake every year and I used to love going to see her as a child and sitting round her coal fire eating Christmas cake with a tiny glass of ginger wine.
