thanks Becky - I think DH sees it as 'getting it out of the way' before we get too used to being baby-free. Also I think he's starting to realise what he's missed out on now shes past the baby stage (which I knew would probably happen. He's not the most hands on dad). All I can see is 9 months of hating being pg again, the trauma of the birth (didn't have a good experience), the lack of help I had/have with Lo happening again, but this time with 2!

Plus - he desperately wants a boy and I can almost guarantee him another girl :rotfl: but seriously thats an issue for me. I'm fightened about what he would feel if we had another baby and it wasn't a boy.

is it wrong that sometimes i think my baby looks like gollum? only every now and then when she gives me a certain look??

:rotfl: I was really worried that people would think badly of me for saying how excited I was for my baby to get cute.

I would love another but often feel the same way.

    Happy Birthday Michelle!

Susan, I hope everything is ok.

Becky, it's totally normal. Sophie looked a bit like ET, Gollum and, Winston Churchull rolled into one sometimes.

Sami, I hope the bullying gets sorted. It's good that Christopher told you it was happening though, as some kids wouldn't.

Update on baby eating: Molly is happily nomming chopped up dried apricot, banana, cheese and cinnamon cereal whirly things. She also has a piece of bread but cast it aside in favour of a rice cake she hid a couple of days ago.

Stupid hospital. They said if the bleeding got worse or I was concerned, I should ring the ward. OH just rang them and they said I have to go through A&E again rather than direct to them so now we have to go and waste a million years sitting about in A&E again. What was the point in them giving us their number if they won't deal with me directly.

Probably too late now but I had this as well. It actually said in my notes that if you are under 12weeks and have bleeding you have to go to A&E, after 12weeks you can just go to the ward. I didn't bother with A&E though, I just went straight to the EPU which ran a drop in clinic. I had cervical erosion and remember putting off sex a few days so if I bled I would be over the 12 weeks and able to go straight to the ward lol. Also confined sex to weekends so I wouldn't have to miss work if I had to go in.

Help from experianced mummies please, should I buy more baby porridge as we are running out or could I just use ready brek?

I think I only bought a couple of packets of gluten free baby porridge for Charlotte. Once she was 6 months, she was on Tesco's version of Ready Brek. Then she got addicted to Weetabix and insisted on it every morning. She's only recently stopped asking for it and is keen on crunchy nut cornflakes at the minute.

But it was a blockage and so not covered by our guarantee - over €100 to get rid of a ball of hair and some old cable ties

You'll have to learn how to fix it yourself. I just took ours to bits a couple of weeks ago as it wasn't draining properly. I found a sock, a bra wire and some coins in the pipe between the drum and the filter :o
does anyone have any bright ideas how i can get ds wiping his own bum automatically? he always shouts FINISHED after having a poop and unless you tell him hes got to do it himself he expects you to do it for him, he's more than capable but this is gonna come up at school at some point i imagine.

Charlotte likes the Tesco wipes rather than toilet paper. They're called Soft and in the toilet roll aisle. You can buy a plastic box with a pack in for about £1, then it's about 70p per refil, so they're much cheaper than Kandoo etc.

We just told her she was a big girl and she had to do it herself and nobody at school would be able to do it for her. That made her start doing it.

Sorry you are having a rubbish day Sami. Hope it gets better and that Chris has a good day xx

I was served by a rude man in Halfords. I bought some new wipers for my car and was offered their wiper fitting service. I said no thanks, I can do that myself, and he said "are you sure? You are blonde" - chauvanistic w*nker!
Here I go again on my own....
  • Sami - poor boy being bullied :( And poor you being bullied by the checkout woman too. You're not having much luck ;)

r.mac, I'm not sure what to suggest, but I totally understand what you mean about not being ready. I definitely want another, but I have friends from my post natal class who are on number two now, and I know I couldn't cope with a newborn and Izzy at the moment. (And although she has her moments, she really is a good girl compared to a lot of the horrors out there!) Let alone being pregnant and looking after her.

Anyway, I have managed to get Izzy down to sleep in her own bed, so I had better go tackle the washing up mountain. And do something about the minging kitchen floor. Lucky old me ;)

Hope everything is okay Susan ((hugs))

Sami that is the worst thing about nursery IMO. The other kids that like to lift their hands. Keira came home on the last day of term with a huge scratch down her face as some girl attacked her in the toilets.

Now I know nursery is for everyone, but Keira's class now has almost 3/4 of the children being unable to speak english (polish) and one little boy, who can't speak, keeps throwing sand in her face and apparently kept trying to come into a toilet with her? I told her to punch him :rotfl: ONLY KIDDING! But I told her to tell on him, she won't ever hit back, I don't think she has ever hit anyone actually.

But that sounds bad - with a fork  Is it a private nursery?
