  • Just hit the Cobham store at opening (7am) and walked away pretty pleased with my purchases. It wasnt too bad with about 20 dedicated mums and dads waiting for opening - all very civillized really. Got lots of smaller bits, lego etc for birthday presents through the year. Some Ben 10, Bakugan, Zhu Zhu pets but nothing big that I was after. Tons of Toys story but son past that stage unfortunately. No NERF in store and no HM Armed Forces, basically very little of the £40+ boys toys. They said they will be filling up the whole time so worth checking back in the next day or two.

    Good luck everyone!
  • has anyone seen the gogo walking pup anywhere in the midlands?

Big fat pooh!!! I just woke up typically it's the first day the kids ever slept in and that was the store I was going to!!!!
And I wNted Buzz and Woody. I'm off to weep!

Scrub that! Hubby went into work late so I could dash down. I still got my Buzz and Woody and the Rc car I wanted. I also got one of my need guns and the bullets plus a couple of silly stocking bits.

They are meant to be getting new stock in everyday too so might pop down again this week!
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

Well, speaking on behalf of those who need physical assistance to go shopping in store, the general answer would be "went without" or "suffered the indignity of having to beg a favour yet again"...

I was just saying that for hundreds of years people managed to get by with out the net. Not having a dig at disabled people, just saying that it is a luxury to have things online not a given right.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

has it ever been available instore tho? its quite a big box, and would just take up too much shelf space to be an everyday item, and as it isnt in the sale online, i doubt it would be brought into stores as a special just for today

I dont know if its ever been on store, thats why ive asked, hoping someone has seen it. Theres loads that arent half price online, but are in store.
    Gotta love a bargain :j

The store I went to was very quiet at 7am. Mind you there was not much there, even though it's a huge store. Nothing I wanted from online except baby annabell. I was really hoping for one of the big sylvanian families houses but there were practically no big toys. No Baxter, no go go furreal no barbie puppy swim school. No bikes, I could go on.
I managed to spend £200 so it couldn't have been all bad! There were smaller sylvanian families things and I got some lego (no big sets though) and polly pocket.

Ah well still some good bargains and I will just have to rethink Christmas a bit. Also might have to go and find a barbie swim school as DD wanted it for her birthday on Tues and I waited to see if I could get it in the sale for her party on Sat!

What did people do before internet shopping? It seems that it is a travesty if offers aren't available online. 15 years ago you would have just had to get off your backside and go to the shop.

This isn't aimed at whoever's post it ends up below. Just a general opinion.
I might of thought the same six months ago, but for the last six months i have been seriously ill. i cannot go instore, only left my home a handful of times in the last six months. All some people have is the internet. Maybe a thought for them at this time of year would not go a miss. This is not a dig or anything at anyone, i am not that way inclined. But you do not appreciate your health or fitness until its taken away from you. I was never an internet shopper until this year. I have always gone to the store with my kids in tow every year. I only wish i could this year.
