Well this was the selection at East Grinstead this morning!
There was 1 Woody (which I got) and 1 more Buzz which some bloke in a suit spent ages looking at before buying it lol!
I got the Woody for DS birthday and 2 Toy Story stunt track thingies. None of which I actually wanted to get but decided DS would probably ask for a Woody while we're in Disneyland on his birthday in December anyway lol.
It was ridiculous,... none of the staff even knew about it, none of the prices on the shelves had been changed and when I asked if they were half price none of the 5 staff near me could agree on how much the discount was, some were saying 25%, some 40%, some 10% lol! There were no posters or anything and they hadn't put anything else out since I was in there at 10pm last night. There were 3 Woody's & 3 Buzz's last night - I didn't leave til it closed and I was there when it opened so some lucky night shift workers got themselves 2 Woody's and a Buzz as there were only 1 & 2 of them this morning.
Full aisle of rubbish halloween stuff though lol!Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00
Don't Throw Food Away Challenge £0.00/£5.000 -

I went to my local store for 7am and it was fairly quiet.
There was quite a bit of Lego, Toy Story, Zhu Zhu, Furreals etc.
Had a big section at the front with Baby Annabells and other larger items. Spent around £90 and apart from the Password Journal that my 8 year old wanted got everything so was really pleased.

if anyone going to the exeter stores sees and sylvanian houses/shops/the woodland bus let me know x
Hey hun alphington seemed to have more SF stuff than pinhoe. They had the windmill and the blue family car and the mini carry cases. Pinhoe had the sainsburys grocery store. To be honest i was a little disappointed with the selection compared to last year. I hardly got anything off my online list!! LOL!! Oh well back to bargain hunting, i was hoping id be done this time today.!!:rotfl::heart2:Sam:heart2:0 -
But some people are unhappy about giving out what area they live in. Internet safety and all that!! If anyone really wanted to know what store I went to all they have to do is ask and I would PM them.
I had no one to rely on to tell me what was in my store, I had to go along and have a look myself, I went last night in preparation for the online sale to be rubbish, I did my homework. I booked a taxi to take me there this morning. I went along this and knew I wouldn't get the 2 items I really wanted but was prepared for that. I got other items instead.
There is so much guilt tripping going on this forum at times and it's not fair! I understand people cannot always afford everything they would like, I understand people have no option to go into the stores for whatever reason but taking it out on other people is wrong!
I'm not asking for your home address or anything, if you said Peterborough or Preston or Reading then they are all large places with large catchement areas for their stores. as i say I don't drive, my choice, causes my own problems. but as it is supposed to be a useful community site, sometimes it could be a tad more helpful.
It's not about guilt tripping, I just don't think that sales bring out the best in people and christmas is the worst. The post about someone having toys pulled out of the trolley scares me, but the one about filming it and puttting it on youtube- that's just crazy.
when I was a kid i remember watching the news and saw the mad rush in the states for the cabbage patch kids and the parents in the news report. it scared me and still does today. I've always said I will never be like that. Which is why you'll never see me at a next sale.0 -
I've been to Ashton under Lyne and Denton this morning - both had good supplies of Buzz (both of the big 'uns) and a quite a few Woody's.0

Well just nipped to my local and it was all quite calm, there was lots of people but hardly any stock as one member of staff told us all as some were complaining about the lack of toys that they spent hours putting it all out last night then at 7 this morning all staff cleared the shelves of what they wanted leaving it empty for opening time.
There was a huge pallet of boxs he was trying to open and stack the sheleves he said there was bigger pallet out back and that they are going to have to take a whole alise of other things down just for the toys ( why this wasn't done sooner i don't know)
Bless him he was getting really fed up as it seemed an endless job, everyone was standing over him seeing what he was opening and asking if he could go out back to see if they had any more of X, Y and Z he was telling everyone to come back tomorrow as they would def be everything that peopple wanted out then.
There still was nothing in store that i had put in my online basket so i didn't get much at all.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Hi,
I went to the one in Knotty Ash, Liverpool this morning. 20ish mile round trip with poor blearry-eyed kiddies in the back wondering why they'd been ushered into the car in the dark! OH got a lift to work with us so he was happy.
I got nothing I had on my list like the Barbie Glitteriser or the Zhu Zhu pizza cafe thing. I was after a scooter too but they didn't seem to have anything big like that. I got a few things which my kids (well one's only 1yr old) have not asked for like my dd wanted the pink rabbit zhuzhu but she got a brown long-haired one instead and a fairy barbie instead of the Glitteriser so I'm hoping she won't be dissappointed. However, I have a horrible vision that I'll start feeling bad that I didn't get the exact things she was after and rush out to get them as well.
I got 7 things for about £43 which I'm fairly happy with although I did feel like a scavenger with all the other shoppers hovvering around! I'm not used to these early morning sales dashes!0
