I'm after Peppa Pig sets, mainly the pull back car and the kitchen set - did you notice if they had those please?

    I went to colton too.

They had some peppa pig sets, but not sure which ones. I know they had the tea trolley thing.

They had quite a lot of peppa pig stuff though.

What did people do before internet shopping? It seems that it is a travesty if offers aren't available online. 15 years ago you would have just had to get off your backside and go to the shop.

This isn't aimed at whoever's post it ends up below. Just a general opinion.

15 years ago :rotfl: times have moved on since then! ;)

I was at the Exeter Alphington road store at 8.30am and was very pleased that there was no mad scrum at all. It was all very civilised! :) There was only 2 other people in the toy aisle when i arrived and about 6 when i left. I am REALLY chuffed that i managed to get a Woody! That was the main thing i wanted and it was the last one on the shelf!

    I also got:
    2 packs of emergency vehicles
    Elefun
    Postamn Pat motorbike set
    Roary torch
2 small cars from the film 'Cars'
A Toy Story bouncy thing called a 'Zeebeez'
    Buzz and Woddy small figures

Only spent £54 but thats pretty much everything for my son for xmas now. I uummed and aaahed over the talking Jessie for ages and didn't get it.

They didn't have the Charlie and Lola wooden numbers set i really wanted. Or the Slinky. But i am still quite pleased with my lot.

I might hit the Pinhoe Sainsburys on the way home to check if they have any of the other things i want.

    Hope everyone is having success!

I'm not asking for your home address or anything, if you said Peterborough or Preston or Reading then they are all large places with large catchement areas for their stores. as i say I don't drive, my choice, causes my own problems. but as it is supposed to be a useful community site, sometimes it could be a tad more helpful.

It's not about guilt tripping, I just don't think that sales bring out the best in people and christmas is the worst. The post about someone having toys pulled out of the trolley scares me, but the one about filming it and puttting it on youtube- that's just crazy.

when I was a kid i remember watching the news and saw the mad rush in the states for the cabbage patch kids and the parents in the news report. it scared me and still does today. I've always said I will never be like that. Which is why you'll never see me at a next sale. :)

But if someone doesn't want to say the area they live in then that's their choice!! There could be a number of reasons why they don't want to give out that info. In my area there is only 1 Sainsburys. I had a terrible experience years ago with someone who lived in America, got all my personal details, my only silly mistake but she made my life misery for months, I had to get the police involved in the end and put a stop to it. So PLEASE do not tell me or anyone else they should be more helpful by posting info they may not be happy posting! Or try to make others feel bad for getting the bargains they wanted.
There are people here who cannot get to stores for whatever reason, I am sure some of those people are absolutely devastated but they don't come here moaning about it and trying to make others feel bad.

Oh and your point about Christmas can bring out the worst in people......probably the only thing I agree with that you've said!

I've just noticed 2 of my toys didn't go through at half price. Only small things so I didn't notice. Might use it as my excuse to go again tomorrow!

Im not sure of the version - I know its the one they have online ... but doesnt appear to be in any store like you say :(
Nevermind ... I have two girls with birthdays in December, my birthday is in December too - so I stock up all year round - they probably have enough :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

the one instore is the same one as online (version 4), so if thats the one you want, then i would ask on here to see if anyone has seen stock at your local store

the version 5 doll, has voice recognition, so when someone talks, it turns its head towards them. now i dont know if thats a good thing, or a tad freaky for a child (visions of exorcist)

  • Stevenage Coreys Mill had tons of stuff and the staff were still unpacking boxes. Loads of Woodys and Buzz Deluxe. I bought the new Monopoly Revolution and some Sylvanian Families.
  • Has anyone tried ringing customer services to see if they can get there items for 1/2 price delivered.

i was planning on going to colton one later today but from the sound of it there isn't much point! i was mainly after lego anyway. ;)
