I hauled my sleepy kids out of bed and into the car by 7:45am...Made it to Grantham Sainsburys for just after 8am. It was dead as a do-do, just one older gentleman with his trolly full of toys and his mobile stuck to his ear, no doubt he was recieving instructions from HQ LOL.

I managed to get Woody, bendaroos and a couple of little bits but was dissapointed with the lack of choice. Wanted the Barbie swim puppy for my DS but there were none out. Managed to pick one up at Tesco on the way home for a fiver more but still not too bad a deal.

Quite a poor selection really, but a fair bit of lego and about 6 Buzz lightyears there. Think there was 1 woody left.
Really wanted a disney fairies Hama bead set - anyone know where they are going cheap??

    Shame it wasnt online.

I was at Colton at 8am, fairly busy but they had a decent selection. Depends what you are after really. I wanted a Nerf set but they were snatched off the shelves before I could get near. Got a couple of Zhu Zhu sets and some lego games so not too disappointed. Also remembered to get Just Dance 2 on wii before the price offer finishes, so was quite pleased with myself!

    Awww brill, thanks! :D
I'm after Peppa Pig sets, mainly the pull back car and the kitchen set - did you notice if they had those please?

  • Was mad wasn't it! Missed the queue as didn't get there till 8, but it was still heaving then. They were filling up when I left but all girls stuff (I have boys), managed to get a few things though. Weldone with the buzz, I missed most of the toy story stuff but managed to get the animated potato head :)

Im glad i took hubby as he stayed with lo and trolly (to guard buzz hehe) and i ran up and down the isles,
i wanted zhuzhu pet things too for my daughter and only managed to get the garage and a ninja hamster, may brave it tomorrow and try for a woody and slinky but my son is only 2 so im sure he will be happy with just buzz if not,
had a look yesterday in preperation for today and daughter wanter the hello kitty teddy thing half price to £4.99 but noticed when i got home with it today they mush have put bigger ones out instead cause the one i got was £20 half price to £10 slightly sneaky i feel
  • Went to Watford High Street at 08.30am. No customers and plenty of stock (all labelled up). We bagged a few items, but was amazed at the price of some of the items (even at 1/2 price). Lucky my daughter is only 13months!!
Plenty of stock available in the toy section and at the end of isles. Worth the trip.

  • I was in Rugby store - am such a muppet. Checked opening time online and thought it was 7, so got there for then, and then realised I had read the time wrong, that was for the petrol station, ha ha, so went back home, had brekkie and headed back out. Was the first in the q to go in which surprised me!

Wasn't that impressed to be honest, I was hoping for big things - some of the bigger lego sets etc where you can make really big savings, but it seemed to be mainly the cheaper lego end. They did and still have lots of the Buzz Lightyear and lots of the Woody toys, lots of Littlest Pet Shop things, lots of the HALO set.

I picked up a lego Harry Potter game which looks good, some leapfrog bits and some Kung Zhus.

No joy on a wheely bug or a spinning zebra which is what I really wanted! Oh well, you win some, you lose some!
