Business Account - reclaiming bank charges

I have my current account and a couple of small business accounts I use for when I worked part time and self employed. Can I claim back bank charges on the business accounts? The same typical £30 charges are often levied.

Yes you can, however there are some slight differences.

Is it possible to reclaim bank charges on business accounts even if it's a limited company? Im also a bit concerned that a few people have lost their claim due to technicalities, would anyone be able to give me an example of a case?

This is the first time ever used forum! I am about to write first letter to Natwest and also have a business account. Can charges be reclaimed for this aswell? Any horror stories to put me off and if have a good relationship with manager, is it worth mentioning?

Yes you can. I used to have a business account with my bank but i closed it about two years ago.

To my surprise i received a letter a couple of weeks ago saying that they pay back my charges of £10 (going overdrawn once) plus interest.

They credited my current account with £17 a few days ago and i never even asked for anything back.

It's something they "discovered" as they put it.

I have registered with CAG website but im struggling to find information that specifically relates to Limited Companies reclaiming bank charges. Is it possible that someone could give me any additional information on this? Thanks

Hi there, I'm a newbie to all this! I am wondering if I am in with a chance of reclaiming charges from a Natwest business account that I closed about 18 months ago. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Is it right that reclaiming on a business account is different to a normal current account?
