Well, into May and Onetel have now finished this offer so I guess the time has come to unsticky this thread
Since Martin opened the thread on 7 February there have been 206 replies, lots of these have been very helpful to new users signing up to Onetel so to all Telephone Board users a big thank you.
There have been 36,750 views, hopefully many of these views have resulted in people signing up to Onetel for cheaper calls and to those viewers who have signed using the Onetel link in Martin's first post an even bigger thank you.
Using the affiliate links mentioned gains MSE a small contribution which enables Martin to keep MSE ad-free, run the forums and donate to charity.

They still plug their £9.99 line rental, cheaper than BT granted but may well be a hassle later on, i.e. problems with internet connections, using other phone companies etc etc.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. I'm afraid OneTel is going down hill fast and the main cause appears to be the standard of 'service' customers are receiving from their Indian Call Centre.
As a result, I'm just waiting for the next offer of free evening AND weekend calls to come along from another company and I'll vote with my feet.
At the moment I just use OneTel for the free weekend calls so they're not making anything from me.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Do you think it's worth signing up for the Onetel Mobile then?
It allows free unlimited calls between landline and mobile, and seems like such a useful feature. Shame no other companies offer this.0 -

I signed up for the One tel - free leisure talk for a year through Greasy Palm - Don't do it! Every month I have been charged for it and had to phone their'call centre' they apologize and take the amount off - eventually but the call always costs me nearly £2, I am fed up with them now and am trying to cancel their service completely. Every month I am assured by them it is corrected and I will no longer be charged, but then the next bill comes through and it is wrong againNo Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:
Officially Mortgage free 31/07/2017 , 12 years early :j0 -
