Mine is even more frustrating that sometimes if i make OP in middle of the month it send my balance up - that is not good psychologically!
Childcare is difficult for us and i would be lost without my sister at the moment. It's a shame DH had had to work so many of the bank hols especially as he only gets normal pay.
It really feels like my mortgage balance is coming down at the moment - obviously it's going to even without OP's but they really do make a difference.
I'm 18 weeks today - it really is flying!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Blimey it is, when is your due date?
Its our birthdays this weekMines tomorrow but still working as off Thursday for voting day. Have arranged to see FIVE houses near my sister and if I dont fall in love with one of them then I am definitely staying here lol (she says!)
It would be good to be near my sister so we can help each other out without feeling guilty asking friends IYKWIM. Its different asking family.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I am due 3rd October but expect to go overdue as I did with DD.
Happy birthday for tomorrow, it's not so bad working as long as you know you have something nice to do at some point during the week.
I should think viewing 5 houses is your make or break decision. I rang EA earlier and they said they were still trying to get in touch with the vendor, I am hoping they speed up when normal opening hours resume tomorrow.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I havent heard from the EA about mine, they either werent in today or they think I am messing around?
My DD is an October baby and she came right on cue! You'll have the summer to deal with then being 2/3 through
If the vendor wants to sell I am sure they will pull their finger out soon!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Well i chased them up today and still no news!
I have a dilemma - I applied for a job about 10 weeks ago as the area I work is meant to be closing (we were told before christmas but nothing seems to be happening and it feels like we're not closing although our manager assures us we are!) Anyway, I assumed I had been unsuccessful as had heard nothing but had an email today notifying me I have an interview next week. Problem is I am now 4 months pregnant and I realise they aren't meant to discriminate but I am sure it will go against me. I just don't want to stress myself out and end up wasting my time. I'm just wondering if it worth the hassle. A massive benefit of the job is that it is clinic/theatre based so is 8-6 mon-fri (no christmas working) which would solve our childcare problems drastically!
Any advice? Personally and legally?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I would definitely go for the interview if you would take the job if offered it. Where I work, 2 members of staff have been appointed in the last year who were on maternity leave at the time and we just had to wait for them to start when they were ready. At least they'd get some work out of you first. I think these days, employers know what a sticky wicket they are on regarding discrimination, and I do believe that if you are the right person for the job they would appoint you. As for the hours, I moved from ITU to day surgery when I only had DS1 just for the hours and child friendliness of it. We had no family and had to rely on private nursery, and they're no good if you're on a late and DH is at work! Do what fits best for you now is what I would say.

I'd go for the interview too if you want the job and would take it regardless.0

Thanks for the advice, it's been stressing me out a bit deciding what to do. I think I am going to go for interview but not reveal pregnancy (if i can hide it). At least then if I don't get the job I will know it was down to interview technique/experience etc rather than me being pregnant. I could do without the stress really but it is too good an opportunity to miss.
Have updated signature now mortgage balance has cleared, i had overestimated by about £20 but it does mean that in July we will be into the 113,000's pending a house move! Really looking forward to viewing the house tomorrow.
Hoping for a relaxing evening tonight and a better nights sleep - it's my birthday tomorrow and i'm working but hopefully have a nice afternoon planned!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Have now decided to ring manager in advance and explain pregnancy! My bump simply cannot be hidden. It really is stressing me out - I almost wish I hadn't applied now!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
