It's great to see your efforts add up isn't it mfd. I'd spent the first few months of the year overpaying with 'free money' (Cashback, surveys etc) which was quite satisfying but weren't my usual amounts as we focused on paying off the holiday. Still haven't planned what to do with the refund!
Had another day in the sun yesterday and were also able to go to a friends and sit in their garden (socially distancing). On the walk up we saw some free books at the end of someone's drive (a really popular idea here at the moment) So I chose a couple I would like to read. Then on the way back I collected a game another friend was giving away.
Did stay awake Saturday night as was convinced I needed a swinging egg chair from Aldi, I didn't know such queues to get on websites existed! Needless to say I gave up and am horrified how many were quickly listed on 3bay afterwards.NSD yesterday with a small top up shop needed today. Expecting Dh back from work shortly and we are planning a family walk he discovered a couple of days ago. It's currently a little cloudier here today which may actually be a welcome relief and make the walk more comfortable!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6 -

We had a lovely family walk yesterday along a river and doing some exploring. It was so hot yesterday but the rain has finally arrived. It's actually been quite cool today!Spotted 50p payable in tcb so have requested and overpaid that to start us off for the month. I feel like I should set some financial goals so may have a look at the weekend. Dh has done some batch cooking today which should keep him away from the supermarket!

I thought you were going to say that you spotted the 50p while you were out, and I was going to be amazed at there still being coins on the ground!

Well the rain arrived and it has stayed and although it is gloomy and wet the garden is improving! It also means it's more likely indoor jobs will be done over the weekend! I have a few tasks to tackle this weekend starting with the spare room. We'd started to organise it but lockdown stalled it as haven't been able to remove the unwanted items.£2.50 overpayment yesterday which was made up of 50p Tilly tidy and £2 from a survey. We are edging closer to knocking another month off which hopefully can be done with Tilly tidies, mop up of bills account after car payment goes out next week. Other than that we are keeping spends low, making our money work hard for us.Still now news on the holiday refund, will give it until 4 weeks after departure date which is another couple of weeks and chase travel agents.June spends

Hope it gets sorted debtfree. I actually had a phonecall from travel agents yesterday and my refund has been processed and should be in my account in a few days. We are having a bit of fun money and the remaining £3000 will go into PB until we decide what to do with it.Well it's been a busy day here! Cleaned all downstairs between us this morning then I hoovered upstairs and sorted out some piles of books. SIL collected some clothes for her boys and gave us a bag of t-shirts too big for hers and later dropped off some clothes for dd she had been given. Dd is really fussy but has gone through them and given us a fashion show. I now also have a bag of clothes to pass on! A friend was also giving away a desk so we collected that (all social distanced of course and very local). That's been set up in dd room and looks fab. She wants a new mouse mat so will get one off 3bay later that she has chosen.Dog walked, Dh has bought some food for tonight as we decided none of us wanted a takeaway (we're not fans tbh) but we've got some curries, pizza and doughnuts for later. I also ordered ds some clothes from m@talan last night (talk about timing) but it's stuff he needs and different to what has been given to us.) He can't wait for them to arrive! The fun money is quickly being spent!I'm pretty much ready for a bit of a nap now!June spends

I've recently bought dd clothes from ge0rge and mns, and the deliveries were spaced out, so the excitement just kept on going! She has worn them almost every day since! It was worth buying new, for once, if only for the delight it has brought her.
