Hi mfd, such uncertain times aren't they. I hope normal service resumes at some point! Thanks debtfree, have a bit of stability for now but a big change to get used to.Signature updated and coloured in two bricks on my house spreadsheet image. We look set to go sub 100k (again having achieved this once pre-extension life) in August so there is a chance this could be brought forward. Even though we slowed down with out overpayments to focus on the holiday (which has now been cancelled) we have still knocked 3 months off Mortgage 2.Achievements over the last few days include......
- buying much needed hair clippers off 3bay (thanks for recommendation Jimmy, judging by how difficult they are to win at a decent auction price they must be sought after).
- finishing a garden project so waiting for the sun to reappear so I can enjoy it.
- adjusting well to work related changes

It gets quite exciting, we drop sub £100k in November, but will still have £8k on cc though ( hopefully offset). And that of course all depends on it I splash out on a new kitchen this year or next. Morning everyone, have a day off in the sunshine to look forward to. My job role and hours have changed so I'm drawing on the positives. Didn't feel I got an awful lot done yesterday although we did some home schooling and the children and plants were fed and watered.I also read a bit of my new book which is one of those set in France where people escape for a more simple life in the sun. Have read a couple of similar
ones in the past which I have enjoyed.I may plant my remaining seed bombs' I have bought as have a couple of spare pots and compost. I've planted a few in the rockery which the puppy has dug out a few times so I'm hoping they grow.MSE stuff? Completed a few surveys recently, spends fairly low and we don't seem to countdown to payday anymore - it just happens. My earnings will increase slightly at the moment so I want to put that money to good use.Going to do some VE Day based learning with the children today (they are in school tomorrow so hopefully they will be able to
do something there too), plant my seeds and read more of my book. I am treating my days off as recovery days and feeling little guilt for sitting down and relaxing.May spends

Good luck at settling into your new role. Hopefully they will review it appropriately so you can return to your own role swiftly. Our department changes may well last past the winter. With the government announcing hospitals are open, I hope those covering my job will return to theirs so I can go back to mine. They seem to be doing the planning with inflated nursing numbers which makes me a little uneasy.
Have a lovely day off

Thanks both. Well it seems I missed the sunshine working 12 hour shifts the last two days. It's been dreary all day and getting a bit cold now. Have had a few NSD's and working on stretching the food out to delay the inevitable food shop. We have meal planned for a few days and DH will buy essentials on the way home from work tomorrow. I've spent £8 today buying printer ink on 3bay. We were kindly given a printer a few months ago and done nothing with it as it needed ink but finally got around to it today.Earned 60 points on y0ugov and getting closer to payout. I just need to remember to do the surveys as soon as possible after being sent them. More grass seed planted and checked on my plants, may bring in my much loved sweet peas overnight. We are thinking of using some of our holiday refund to spruce up the garden so am trying to get some ideas together. May use it as a homeschool activity tomorrow and get the children to draw some potential designs. Not much else to report really, payday end of next week and accounts looking okay but may divert some extra to savings rather than all on overpayments. I guess it's nice to be able to have options but that doesn't help the mortgage come down any quicker.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!7

Gosh I'm not feeling productive at the moment. Day off today so have done some home-schooling, line dried some washing and pottered. Think waking up at 8:20 made me feel like the day had run away with me. Overpaid £5.96 which was made up of Tilly tidy and few pounds left in bills accounts after car payments gone out. These accounts get a £2 hally reward which contributes to this leftover money. Dh has kindly done our weekly shop on the way home from work too so that's out of the way and the children are happy that snacks have been replenished.I have also done some online learning to assist with my new temporary role so writing that down makes me feel better!Another day off tomoro so hoping it brings some productivity and sense of achievement!May spends
