Thankfully it has eased which means I have actually been more productive today. Dh and I sorted out the bedding and towels in the airing cupboard and freed up a lot of space. Nothing can leave the house at the moment but I'm wondering if a local cat sanctuary might want the old towels?I also painted our patio furniture which has given it a new lease of life and might get another year or two out of it so well worth it. Lockdown life certainly seems to be making people more resourceful, myself included.
Had to put the heating on for an hour or so this evening, suddenly went really cold and I think it's been the first time in a couple of weeks it has been used. Brought my sweet peas in to keep them warm too. Four day working week ahead and hoping for some healthier food choices as this weekend (and longer) has been shocking!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
You are not the only struggling with motivation to eat healthily at the moment Cath 😁MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

I don't do well surrounded by food Newgirly! Think because our holiday is likely to be cancelled I've gone into self-sabotage mode. I'm not going to be super strict but any snacking needs to be fruit for a start. I did de-clutter some naughty foods yesterday.
cb has landed and small increase so with that difference and the bits left over from the car payments I have overpaid £6.13 this morning.
Sun is shining again so hoping the children will spend a bit of time in the garden this afternoon.
I have asked Dh to move a pile of soil that was a raised bed area but with no plans to grow anything for the puppy to dig up, it can go.Hope this sunshine sticks around for a while as it will definitely lift my mood/motivation during this very strange time.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4 -

Thanks PF, we have done it once before but then added nearly £50k for the extension. Will certainly be sub 100k by the end of the year but I should probably check which month!Hoping they message me back today SJ, am sure they will be well received.
Well we are back at hump day again already! Have found someone locally making bags for Nurses so am donating a huge bag of bedding to them.Dh has moved the pile of soil so I'll tidy up that area once I find some post-work motivation. Paid for my plants online yesterday so hopefully they will be out for delivery today or tomorrow as the order has already been picked.Just over a week until payday and no money shuffling needed this month. Will put that money to good use as it feels like I've not made a decent overpayment for ages.£41.71 spent at supermarket. I've got to a stage of being amazed how the items come to that total as we seem to be spending a lot on our 'top up shop'. Unless it's due to us going much less often so top up shops have become 'big shops' which we generally don't do. Will keep an eye on my monthly running total but looking at my monthly totals so far this year it seems we're spending more than I think.
Have a good day everyone.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4 -
