Feeling a little distracted from here at the moment but hopefully once payday hits next week my mojo will return. Small top up shop today (supermarket was chaos but good to see restrictions in place). Will get missing items (rice and bananas) from a local shop.
Need to do some money shuffling then plan the last week before payday. No anticipated spends and will have a clearer idea of what is left in food/fuel account tomorrow. It's a bright sunny day here and have a load of washing on the line. Going to strip a bed and get that washing line dried too.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
Very little to report but checking in to keep up normality and momentum. Found £2.61 payable in tcb so have overpaid that as all overpayments are coming from 'free money' at the moment.

thanks debtfree, have another £1.43 payable on tcb but might let it build up a little. I tend to cash out and more becomes payable and I have to wait.
Trying to carry on as normal here which is difficult when life feels anything but normal. For now we both continue to work and the children will go to school in the mornings. Dh has done our weekly food shop this morning which I am so grateful for. The dog has been walked in some isolated woodland I randomly found this morning!Washing on the line, sun is shining although it's not particularly warm. I'm going to make myself a coffee and some late breakfast and have a catch up on here. Hoping everyone is doing as well as they can be in these uncertain times.March spends

A quiet day here. Dh worked this morning, they're particularly busy at the moment so doing what he can. Once home we sorted the garden, quick brush and tidy up. We've reorganised the make shift barricade along the hedge to stop the puppy exploring inside the hedge. I planted some sweet pea seeds in a hanging basket (hoping they work!) I don't see me having any plants in pots this Summer as it's far too tempting for the puppy who likes to empty them and run around with the empty plant pot!£1.43 Tilly tidy and it's payday tomorrow. Have decided to keep back £400 of our normal overpayment 'just in case'. Fingers crossed we continue to work and be paid but I would rather have a back up. Once we are able to I'll just overpay it. Have the money to pay holiday balance but again I'm cautious as if we get a refund it will go on the credit card which will have no balance on it.Hoping to catch up on here later, feel like I spend most of the day watching the news and have been very distracted.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5

I think we are all distracted. I only discovered there'd been an earthquake in Croatia (maybe 2, I can't recall) from reading the french newspapers.

Goes to show how these events are taking over our thoughts. Big changes yesterday, we both still have to work but as we were social distancing anyway not much else has changed for us....yet. We had already made lots of changes and lockdown seemed inevitable. My n3xt deliveries have arrived so thankfully I have a day off tomorrow to work my way through them. I don't think I'll keep it all but of course returns won't be as straightforward now! Will check if I actually need 4 sets of bedding after buying 2 the other day!86p Tilly tidy yesterday and necessary money shuffle done.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4

Hi debtfree (thanks for popping in) all ok here thank you. Just trying to digest life changes on a daily
basis. My work may be particularly affected, job is secure but role may change.Meanwhile some work has been done on the mortgage freedom journey. 10p Tilly tidy today - seriously, that's it! I've sent £3.47 OP to mortgage 1 and kept £400 back for now 'just in case'.
it looks like my daily clicks on tcb have finished, I used to get a few £'S a week doing that which kept the tcb balance ticking over.
£34.36 at the supermarket yesterday. Thankfully (for Dh) they are less chaotic and we can get what we need in one shop lasting 4-5 days.
Fairly local garden centre offering a delivery service but they're a pricey chain so need to investigate if any local independents are doing the same. That said, I keep forgetting to water my sweet pea seeds! They're in a basket on the spare room windowsill!Still way behind on diaries!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
Strange times Cath, I think having a just in case fund is good idea right now, take care 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2
