Very little done outside yesterday as we didn't get the sunshine. It appears to be here today though which is most welcome.
We made a list and shared the jobs put, dd did quite a few which is unlike her! Dh cleaned and hoovered both cars and Ds still has his jobs to do.I'm planning to rope Ds into helping me weed the driveway and I've also just spotted an idea about painting old plant pots using chalk paint. I've got plenty left over from my furniture project so will tackle them today as will be a nice job to do outside. Puppy will get a long walk in the sunshine this morning so hopefully snooze whilst I get on with painting later.Sent our usual £400 overpayment yesterday. We are both still working as normal but I'd held some cash back in case Dh ended up being unwell/isolating on basic sick pay. As things stand, his April wage would be unaffected so March OP sent. Nice to keep some element of normality. We've also roughly worked out what we plan to do with our £3200 holiday refund and the further £800 we'd have spent on taxi/dog boarding/holiday spends. We will keep at least £2000 back for another holiday but will put the rest to good use. Looking at the figures it does make you wonder if 10 days of sunshine is worth all that money. We have made some wonderful memories though and have been fortunate (worked hard) to have had 6 holidays abroad in the last 3 years.

Definitely MFD and we are just trying to find as many positives as we can in this situation. Am expecting our holiday company to announce something.
transferred £1600 out of PB yesterday so will pay cc when that lands which I have a feeling will be after the bank holidays now. Then managed to lock myself out of our second PB account trying to check the balance. I've also locked myself out of online lotto account I use for a work syndicate. I clearly don't have enough brain space for passwords this week!Food spends yesterday £41.47 and I've made a 77p Tilly tidy this morning.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -

Well I am more that ready for this 4 day weekend. Have had a week of lots of work related changes which has been mentally exhausting.PB cash arrived in account yesterday so that has been paid off the cc. Will continue to stooze the small balance on there now and hopefully gentle chipping away will see it disappear!21p Tilly tidy yesterday which is the second overpayment of the month. CB lands on Tuesday and paydays the week after so hoping to divert some of that to the mortgage.Chased up travel agents as holiday company announcement on travel end the week before we go. Agents seem to think flights will resume but I'm sure I've seen a further update to dispute this so will chase up again. Just don't want to be in limbo and I can't see things up and running in holiday resorts in the next 6 weeks.Have quite a few jobs I want to get done over the bank holiday weekend, the order of which is weather dependent!

Thanks everyone, am glad I made the most of the sunshine as it is definitely cooler today. Have discovered some stunning walks on our doorstep too. Currently sat next to a snoozing puppy after our hour walk this morning.
Overpaid £1 to the mortgage to tidy up the account yesterday and also sent £25 to the children's PB. Will do this a couple of times a month as we are saving on various things including football subs and general treats.
Planters painted up and look fab. Puppy mostly disinterested in them which is progress as he used to enjoy a run around the garden with a plant pot on his head! Am hoping he ignores them enough so I can get them planted up and they stay that way. Hopefully by the garden centre ring me in the next couple of days so I can pay for my plants and arrange delivery.
Think I have a trapped nerve in my upper back which is annoying as causing some discomfort and the odd pain down my right arm. Hoping a hot soak in the bath later will ease it. I've also ordered some items for dd and I to have a pamper evening so hopefully they will be here by the end of the week too.Still working through our jobs list......June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!3 -
