Definitely greent!
Well I do like to reach the end of the day feeling that it has been a productive. I have completed some paperwork for the next school year for dd and made an attempt at trying to organise childcare for summer holidays. DH had to go to work this morning and did a food shop and got a much needed lawnmower spacer part too. We were going to buy the tool to do it but managed to borrow what we needed saving ourselves at least £6 so that has been overpaid along with an 87p tilly Tidy. We are so close to knocking off that month! Dog walked for an hour and back lawn mown. It's looking so much greener but a bit uneven from where the dog has enjoyed digging and racing around the garden!
We were also able to finish sorting out ds room (that's if you don't include the fitted wardrobes that are full of all sorts!) Whilst sorting out ds room I came across an old games console which Dh sold for £30 today and gave me £10 of it.Almost payday so I've been working out where to divert our spare cash. Sadly none to the mortgage but other things need to take priority sometimes. Hoping our next overpayment finally sees that month come off!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
We have broken through the next month barrier and 80p also overpaid today.Have woken up to glorious sunshine this morning so looking forward to sitting in the garden after work. My sweet peas are finally starting to flower so hoping to get a good display from them as this seems to be my most successful year so far.Need to pick up milk today but other than that we are ok for food spends and totals looking good for the month. Payday money shuffle has been done, we are having garden work done soon and I've been able to pay it out of my wages and not savings which is great!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6

Thanks Apple, onwards and downwards to the next one. Overpaid £1.72 today which was the discount I had in a shop yesterday. Also used up a voucher I'd been given for my birthday and treated myself to some new skincare.Another hot day forecast here (and everywhere else). The sunshine seems to be encouraging my sweet peas to flower though so I am grateful for that!£2.20 spent on milk/bread which I need to add to my total spends after Dh has done another top up shop today.Stay hydrated today everyone!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5

Me too Apple, the scent is amazing. Got home from work to see more have flowered. Will wait until I have a good bunch and then pick them to encourage more flowers. I am absolutely melting here this evening! I tolerate these temperatures much better when sat around a pool with a gentle sea breeze!Dh has done a top up shop and we are pretty well stocked. Think it's a bit much to expect sub £200 spends this month but we won't be far off. Our fuel spends are amazing though considering we still have school run and work to get to!The next challenge is summer holidays childcare, we came so close to having the 6 weeks covered too. More juggling needed.....

Well it's been a weekend of balance. Got quite a bit sorted around the house without feeling like we were on a huge cleaning/decluttering mission.
Friday was a bit more eventful as arrived home from work to discover we had a wasps nest. Wasp guy was a few houses down and alerted us to one in our vent. We hadn't noticed it but there were quite a few wasps and I'd been hearing some strange noises in the room above! So that was £45 I wasn't expecting to spend!Dh has done another top up shop so we should definitely have NSD for the last 2 days of the month now.Dd has had his 3rd haircut of lockdown which I think I'll keep up long term. The clippers have earned their money and the results are ok. I could do with investigating when my hairdresser reopens, I'm fairly low maintenance and have long hair I don't colour but it definitely needs a trim and tidy up. Can't see it being easy though, I struggle to get an appointment when booking 10 weeks I advance following my appointments!June spends

Quick check in from me. It's payday for Dh so have planned my money shuffle. £2.15 cashed out from survey site yesterday and overpaid.
Washing machine already on this morning, we've got garden work starting tomorrow and the forecast is rain so hoping to avoid a build up. Just hoping the rain holds off today now.1st of the month tomorrow, that's another month knocked off!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -

Agreed debtfree, thankfully they were spotted and sorted before they became a big problem. Payday for dh and money shuffles done, sent another £100 to 0% cc, £125 to PB and £100 to mortgage which almost knocks a month off. I did find an extra £56 as realised I had accounted for 2 direct debits twice!Monthly spends looking good, can't believe our fuel spends considering we are both still out working full time!! Have only spent £140 on fuel the last 3 months compared to £360 the first 3 months of the year.June spends
