He can't wait for the unboxing Apple. As you say, it's worth it for the excitement it brings and he keeps asking me when they are due to arrive!
We have had a lovely weekend, Saturday was a busy day of sorting out the house and some decluttering (however lots was also brought into the house!) Saturday evening we did a zoom thing with friends which was great fun. Yesterday we went for a long dog walk with friends, for some great family pics,
had more yummy food (bits we didn't use from 'takeaway' buys) and then I started a new Netflix series with the children.
I am trying to encourage the children to do some housework and between them this weekend they have dusted the lounge, hoovered and wiped down the kitchen cupboards. Quite impressed and will keep this going!
Quick check of current account this morning (to see if holiday refund in which it isn't) and made a 27p Tilly tidy as pet insurance has gone out. CB lands tomorrow. We've actually just arranged for a dog walker so that he can have a run around private fields with other dogs etc so he's going to go once a fortnight for now. Yes it's an added expense but we can afford it and he will definitely benefit from it. I think lockdown makes dog socialisation difficult doesn't it. He really is a fab dog and will benefit so much from it.Right, best get moving as got a full week in the office ahead of me!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6 -

Hi MFD, yes I'm back in normal role now. It's good to be back with all my colleagues. Not much happening here but posting keeps me accountable. I've eaten fairly well, drunk 1 litre of water and enjoyed a walk with the dog after work.We have also had a NSD and should survive without a supermarket trip tomorrow. We are running low on fruit but other than that we are fairly well stocked.Refund not in yet, I've checked several times!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5

Thanks debtfree, it's good to be back.
£3 overpayment today as CB landed in the account and that includes the small increase compared to last year. Top up food shop done and our cc stoozing is going well as interest only £13 this month. Sent across shopping costs with a little extra to nudge that balance ever downwards.Still awaiting refunds and deliveries. Had an 3bay order cancelled but dd quickly found an alternative item and that's been reordered.

Well it's bee a grey afternoon here but I'm wishing it to rain now to take care of the garden! I am missing my morning coffee in the sunshine though and I miss having a wander around to see how things are growing. I'm hoping it's about to pop into more colour as the sweet peas flower and the fuschia opens. The fact that my planters have survived the interest of the puppy is an achievement in itself as he used to take great delight in digging into any he could find!Holiday refund is in so tansferred to PB, we actually have almost £5k in there now and I'm amazed we have that much in savings! Have emptied two of the bills accounts of pennies now that the car payments have gone out so another £3.87 overpaid edging us even closer to knocking another month off. Another £10 or so should do it! We also seem to be doing very well with food shopping/usage at the moment, long may that continue!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5

Thanks debtfree.
A quiet weekend here which isn't unusual for us. Our weekends are only really different in that Dd doesn't play football.£2 overpayment to mortgage yesterday which is what we had left out of the fun money after buying wine. I had a couple of glasses but really would not miss it if I gave it up. It just feels like such a waste of money too.Felt a bit out of sorts yesterday, maybe linked to having alcohol now I have it so rarely so had an early night. Not feeling 100% this morning so I've taken the dog out for an hour walk in the fresh air and am planning a pamper session with the children later. I'm not feeling hungry which is unlike me so had a peppermint tea to see if that perks me up!Not making plans today, Dh has just done the food shop but I think a day of relaxation before the working week starts again is much needed.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!8 -
I've quite enjoyed nosecco, prosecco without alcohol. It's £3 - £3.50. Lets my OH think he's still treating me to a nice drink. 167kcals to per bottle .. posh pop not fizzy water. Enjoy your day of rest Cath, you must have masses to catch up on at work.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20226

That sounds like a good substitute mfd. Am getting there work wise, colleagues have been amazing in my absence so almost there now.
Had a good day yesterday, took the dog out for an hour walk and went to our local park where every other local dog owner seemed to be! Then Dh and I sorted some of the garden in preparation for work being done next week so that part is looking better. Still a bit to do next weekend but some of it needs to
be last minute as involves moving some things which currently stop the dog from escaping or visiting next door! The storm finally arrived with us aswell, I've never heard constant rumbles of thunder like it before. Listened to some of it in the garden with ds before the torrential rain arrived. Quick check of the weather this morning shows the only chance to line dry any washing this week is this morning so getting a load done quickly before work.Accounts looking healthy, payday next week and hopefully I'll be able to top up/pay off various things.Big food shop done yesterday and overall spends looking ok and trying to keep to £250 for monthly supermarket spends.June spends
