Well that's Monday out of the way. Nipped to supermarket on way home and had 10% off my shopping so have overpaid the £1.25 I've saved. Definitely remembering it's a marathon and not a sprint.
Starting to think ahead to summer holidays childcare with much reduced childcare options this year. I've at least written down the dates which is a start.

I'm quite jealous that you can 'nip' to the supermarket. Still lots of queuing here!

For some reason the supermarket queue wasn't too bad thankfully.Had it in my head it's Friday all day today which isn't good on a Wednesday!Sent £1.28 discounted off shopping so I've sent that to the mortgage. We're quite well topped up now so shouldn't need much more before next week. Time to set a mini challenge......

you are so good with your shopping. I am determined to do some work in this area this year. Easy access to shops hampered it a bitDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Ooh, what is your mini challenge?

Debtfree our March/April spends were much higher due to shopping difficulties and we ended up buying rather expensive toilet roll as it was all we could find!!42p Tilly tidy.
Well Apple, I haven't got around to planning a mini challenge yet but a NSD does mean we've now got over £250 to last us 4 days now rather than 5!DH has done some batch cooking today and made 2 soups and our meals are made up of what we needs using in the fridge. I'm guessing we will just need bread and fruit over the next few days so wondering if a budget of £5.10 will see us through? That leaves us with £250 to overpay etc just before payday. Not a bad way to be ending the month at all!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -

sounding productive debtfree, did you mean to post this on your diary?
This week has really dragged, maybe its me getting used to my hours again or the change in weather? Hoping for some drier and sunnier weather this weekend to enjoy the garden and some nice walks.
Another NSD today but may need a shop tomorrow as running low/out of some essentials. Will definitely only buy what we need though.

Well we blew the food budget! £19.33 spent on essentials. Did manage to use cash though so bank accounts remain healthy, the money is just in different pots. 33p Tilly tidy sent so will get spreadsheet updated tomorrow and see if we are super close to knocking that month off. If we are I'm not sure I'll be able to resist sending a few pounds to get that month gone. The sun eventually came out here today which was lovely and I enjoyed some time in the garden reading. Plan is to cut the lawns tomorrow, I did weed around the front today but still have lots to sort as weeds have made their way into them too! House cleaned this morning so if the sun stays out for a couple of days now I can enjoy it guilt free. I also sorted our ds clothes again today and have another bag full to pass on. Decluttering and sorting really does feel never ending at times!June spendsSupermarket £168.88Fuel £33June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!6
