Yes very close now PF and will achieve it this month. I do sometimes wonder what our mortgage figure would be had we not borrowed over £45k for the extension!!
Had over £160 left in food account which clears the N3xt bill. Would have liked to have overpaid it but don't want any nasty store card interest.Small top up shop today but spends still great for the month. Food spends are an area where we really are saving at the moment so happy to keep the spends low.
Not much else happening, overpayments may pause as have a car service to pay for next week. This is where I really wish we had a car maintenance pot of money! We already have two cars which are on a lease agreement but am debating paying one off when the deal is up for renewal and then trading in the other for a bigger car. It's getting a bit of a squeeze in a small car with two growing children and a dog!July spends

Is it really August next week? It's been such a surreal year so far and once August/September hits, time does usually fly.Not a great deal happening here, payday arrived, 39p overpayment, leftover food budget sent to N3xt account. Bought a clothes bundle for dd,
she doesn't like them all but it's still worth it for what we spent. Ds has had a bike off 3bay which he loves so definitely worth the £40 spends. I just looked randomly and there was one on BIN just a few miles away.We were given a clothes rail recently following a family member house move and spotted a local person giving away quality coat hangers so she collected some of them and she threw in loads of other good quality stuff we will use! It's really grey and dreary here, really feels like summer is over sadly but I'm clinging onto any hope of better weather! Off out for an early family walk shortly and then this afternoons plans are very much weather dependent.Have a few spends this month so lots of overpayment not looking likely as it's car service and uniform buying for us. Might have to set a mini goal to keep up the motivation.

Well done getting the bike. And the clothes rail, hangers and extras!

It has all come in very handy Apple.Early start today, woke not long after 7am which was a little annoying when not setting an alarm is a highlight!! That said, we were all out by 8am for a walk. We didn't quite find the area we planned but enjoyed the walk and the scenery. If only we'd found this walk weeks ago I'd have been able to forage some blackberries and raspberries! Managed to get 6 raspberries today which were delicious and an unexpected find.
Cut the lawn as it looked like it was about to rain, although the weather has been like that all day. I find I'm in limbo when the weather is like that and feel like I'm waiting for the sun to come out.Dh did a top up shop including £3.25 on shopping we actually needed and the rest he just frittered, thankfully out of his own spends.Shortlisted a few cars today, one car in the garage for a service on Tuesday so hopefully be able to get some quotes/deals sorted outs. It's at this point I'm glad our holiday was cancelled as the refund is really going to help us out with this. Here's hoping for a sunnier day tomorrow as Monday already forecast to be a washout.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
Morning all, hoping for a productive day here today as it's forecast to be dry whereas tomorrow is a washout.
Am on my second coffee, bank transfer done, washing load done and pegged out, fresh lot of sweet peas picked, dog and one child fed.Am planning on staining the shed today, We've has it a couple of years (was made to measure) and it's still in good condition but I've got some stain going to waste and it shouldn't take long. Also planning to clear out all around it (it's at the side of the house next to bins) and give everywhere a good brush and clean. Am hoping Dh fancies helping with this too. Also hoping to get out for a walk later, we are aware of so many more local places now due to lockdown and a local village has a lake we never knew about! So hopefully off for a wander around there as have a feeling it will be a day at home tomorrow judging by the weather.July spends

Thanks Apple, we certainly made the most of it. The walk was lovely, took an hour and would be a lovely place to picnic and watch the activities but understandably there are restrictions in place at the moment due to Covid. We will definitely be back and it was worth the admission and ice cream spends! So far today I have amended our 8ky package to remove the sports, done a cc balance transfer offer and made an 83p tilly tidy. I just got myself confused as I couldn't understand why I hadn't logged my July totals, took me a while to realised I hadn't missed it, it's just not month end yet!The rain is relentless here this morning but was just thinking that despite this, the garden still looks pretty. Am thinking ahead to what plants I can get to inject some colour over the autumn/winter. Not keen on primroses and can only think of cyclamen (which I love).
dd at an outdoor birthday party, thankfully water related so the rain doesn't really matter. Hoping to make it to the car showroom later to get some ideas/quotes.Other than that I'll be pottering, upstairs bathroom down so will get shower room and utility done and will tackle kitchen/diner floor once the risk of muddy footprints has passed.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -

Thanks debtfree, we've had a particularly good month. Hoping for a repeat performance this month!Already worked through some of my jobs list this morning but I will admit that they were the quick and easy tasks! Still need to sort some items for charity shop especially school uniform as there is a store requesting them. Currently free parking in town too which is a bonus. It's dreary here today so it's going to be a day couple of hours of household jobs - might just have another coffee and catch up on here first!August spendsSupermarketFuel £10.01June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5
