It's a good feeling Apple!Kicked off the September spends with £2.58 on bread and milk. We will need a top up shop tomorrow too which will involve resisting wine!Dd started high school today and says she had a brilliant day. Back to having children in different schools again now is going to make the school run and my mornings a little more interesting but hoping to soon be back in the swing of things!
Have spent this evening after work painting some wooden placements which were fit for the bin really as were marked from sharpies after being used to lean on when drawing to protect the table. One quick coat of fr3nchic paint and they are already looking fab and dd got involved helping me too which was lovely. Maybe I could get her to paint her bedroom furniture to save me a job?
I may have purchased a Christmas item. It's a little cottage you burn an incense cone in and smoke comes out of the chimney. I wanted one last year and they sold out so hopefully it will live up to expectation when it arrives.
First car payment goes out tomorrow so money shuffle done. There's also a bit too much month left for the money but with no real plans we should make it!September spends

Well it appears I have my mojo back! I am taking some supplements so that may be it!!So far this morning have enjoyed waking naturally (but did worry I had missed my alarm!) taken the dog for an hour walk with lots of off lead time, cleaned the lounge and given the placemats another coat so they're almost done. We were forecast rain today so after work yesterday I made an effort to cut the grass - we are no longer forecast rain but at least it's done!! I also picked the last of the sweet peas and picked some more seed pods so they are ready to dry out. I plan to have sweet peas everywhere next Summer!!
Food shop done, off to see some family later and then hopefully spend some time reading. Two new books have also arrived today and I have a huge 'to be read' pile so I guess this needs to be a priority
66p Tilly tidy this morning.

It's been a whirlwind of a week and I feel like my feet have barely touched the floor. Thankfully fatigue is now minimal so I've managed to power through but the late nights are going to catch up with me.
DH has been offered a job and accepted it! Will make childcare a little bit more complicated at times but overall it's a really good move and childcare issues will be short term as the children are getting older. Also going to be going from monthly to weekly pay so I'm assuming there is 'free money' in there somewhere. Definitely need to do a new SOA and amend our money shuffles. Lots of overtime available and Dh said we can use half of it for savings/OP's. I manage all the money anyway but it's nice to have some input! I think now we're in the last 7 years before mortgage freedom the end is absolutely in sight and motivation high.
Couple of surveys done, couple of top up shops done which need adding to totals. My scales seem to be broken (I may ditch them as don't focus on the number anyway) but feel like I've lost around half a stone (Clothes fitting better, can just feel it) which is super motivating too!Planning some balance this weekend, productivity/reading/dog walks/birthday planning.September spends

Thanks both, he's looking forward to a new challenge and a better work/life balance.Had a few y0ugov surveys through this week so manage to hit payout sooner than expected. Requested payout and it looks like it should be in my account tomorrow so have already overpaid it. Just need around £20 to knock another month off now.New SOA done yesterday as dh moving onto weekly pay. I wanted to keep certain things as a monthly budget (i.e. the food/fuel) as it's easier to see what is surplus at the end of the month compared to seeing what's left at the end of the week. Couple of tweaks made but it's do-able without complicating things.Popped to the garden centre for some Autumn/Winter plants and to get a birthday gift. Managed to get some reduced plants and as it's a premium garden centre they were still in really good condition and I'll get them planted up later. Have collected lots of seed pods from my sweet peas and waiting for the snapdragons (which had self seeded in my garden) to go to seed so I can collect those too. It does feel like a little extension of summer at the moment though with the weather being so good.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4

Congrats to DH Cath. Do you think you can turn that 7 years into 6 ?
Well done on ditching the scales. I've always been a slave to them, winning or losing. Are you still exercising?

Thanks mfd, getting under 6 years would be great as we could then sneak in mortgage freedom just before Dh 50th birthday! Not exercising at the moment, completely out of routine with that, think I just need to get my dumb bells out of the spare room for a start! Just doing steps really so hoping that will help for now. I have lost a lot of definition so hoping I have lots of muscle memory!
Bust day today, Dh worked this morning (still committed to his current job even though he's leaving) Then the plan was a family walk with friends but dd has a sore throat. Checked her temp lots over the day and she's perked up again now thankfully. We were out for over 3.5 hours in the walk and my feet and legs were getting sore towards the end, ds had never-ending energy though and went on a bike ride with Dh when we got back!I planted up my new plants/basket, weeded the rockery and picked some more sweet peas and seed pods whilst they were gone.I'd only had a protein shake before I left for the walk so had some M*s treacle pudding after my stir fry for dinner as if there was a day I'd earned it, this was the day! It was delicious as expected and Dh can eat the rest of it!
£50 spent on fuel but otherwise it's been a no spend weekend. I do have a few spends planned this week with the childrens' birthdays coming up and we are in single figures countdown to payday!Fully expecting to sleep very well tonight!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5 -
