Thanks mfd, still struggling but hoping I suddenly get better as it's dragging on now.
Quietly plodding away but no focus to do anything I need to, don't seem to have to brain energy if that makes sense.
Payday today so necessary money shuffle done. Will tackle the overpayment/savings part later. Did manage a £97 overpayment and £100 to cc yesterday from account surplus! 47p Tilly tidy this morning so hoping when I update the spreadsheet it makes a difference by at least knocking a month off!

Feel like I am getting some of my mojo back after being unwell for several weeks. Finally think I am on the mend now though thankfully. Found the brain space to check n@tionwide accounts (have minimal dd as used it for an account switch) and between the two accounts found £105 so I have paid that off the smaller mortgage. So far this month have overpaid £270 and knocked another 2 months off the end date :jJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

How far forward have you moved the end date so far? Sounds good.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

6 months so far Apple and that's only since April. We started overpaying this part of the mortgage when the rate changed on the other one.
I was just thinking this morning of playing with the spreadsheet to see what would happen to the end date if mirage 2, if I used mortgage 1 payments off this mortgage once that one is cleared. We only have about 8 years left on mortgage one so be nice to have cleared the two within 15 years. When I get time I'll play with the spreadsheets.
£3.50 overpayment this morning which was current account Cashback.
Busy day here yesterday as the puppy hurt himself in the garden. Needed sedation and an X-ray but thankfully just a sprain. Hasn't stopped him being a daredevil though. I am so so thankful for pet insurance, the company were brilliant and even the vets were impressed.
Feeling like I'm spinning lots of plates at the moment, feel like I need a day off just for me. Hopefully we can catch up with things over the weekend and I'll feel a little less overwhelmed.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hope you’re feeling better Cath xxOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.

Hi pinky pig, still up and down. Think I'm on the mend and then the illness changes. It's a really nasty virus - think adult version of croup with bouts of choking and breathing difficulties. Did panic my colleagues yesterday (and myself) with an episode. This the the weekend to get it out of my system - somehow!
Some financial admin done this morning. Had various funds not dealt with from payday (wonder if I'll ever be the to leave it in the account and fritter it?) So, £70 paid off credit card, £50 to ISA and £50 to mortgage. Also sent our standard £403 overpayment to mortgage one (never paying that one twice in a month again!)
Life with a puppy is good, walks are getting slightly longer (with good use of treats). We are booked on puppy training classes and I've bought a good book on 3bay so will browse that later. We have had a few escape attempts so basically everything that was in the garden is reinforcing the hedge to prevent further escape! Did come home to a few chewed books yesterday so going to move some things from the kitchen into the utility.

Not a great deal happening today. I'm still drained from recent virus and my nutrition is appalling! Need to get back on track with eating food to fuel my body.
Dh meanwhile has done loads! Overtime shift this morning, taken dd to a birthday party and the puppy to the vet for a check up after his recent mishap. I've caught up with washing, mopped the floors (did most other things yesterday) so having a very lazy day.
House is nice and cosy with fire and heating on (trying to dry the washing) so I'll enjoy a day at home. Will make a quick roast later (using sausages!) and an apple crumble (with pre-bought topping). Definitely keeping it simple today.
35p Tilly tidy this morning. Dh gets paid tomorrow
But can't access payslip so hoping to be pleasantly surprised when I check the account in the morning.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Dh wages were wrong but being corrected today which means I have even more to overpay. We both need some new clothes so do think we should keep some funds back to treat ourselves. Some of our clothes are really old! Will see how much the account gets topped up with today when missing wages go in.
It's the 1st of the month which means we are a month closer to mortgage freedom. Will update signature etc later when can get on the laptop. 60p overpayment today to kick off October overpayments.
It's ds birthday this week, we never go mad and they had a big present to share recently (birthdays are close together) but I've bought him some radio controlled cars so hopefully they will bring him lots of fun. Just need to get his card and a birthday cake and we are good to go. It's been a huge relief not organising birthday parties this year. We have some passes for a trampoline park so hoping to use them up soon which will be good for a rainy day but Dh is thinking of using them for half term.
I do believe my virus is finally going. Symptoms and severity ever changing and despite continued scary moments where my breathing spasms or I am choking I seem to be finally getting better. It has been a long 3 weeks of these unpleasant symptoms.
Puppy back to vets later and I don't think his paw is quite right so hoping they can help. His pain relief was only prescribed for 5 days but he couldn't have his weekend review due to an emergency at the vets. I spent time collecting items for some brain training (been reading up on canine enrichment). He's having great fun just playing with the box! Keeps him busy and happy though. He's much better on the lead too and actually enjoyed a walk through the park yesterday so that's wearing him out.
Plans for today are generally to spend no money, work out what we have left for savings/overpayments and keep warm and dry!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
