Thank goodness is tomorrow is Friday. Feeling overwhelmed at the moment as life is temporarily more stressful and complex. Summer holiday childcare proving to be a logistical challenge but if I stop stressing I'm sure it will all be fine and I will have everyone in the right place at the right time!

Fuel top up today and dh went to the supermarket. Not had the receipt off dh so the spends are currently a mystery.

Took dd to buy some gifts for friends with her pocket money and we assembled them with some ribbon. Hoping I've taught her that with some creativity and thought that presents don't need to be expensive. She has hand written some gift tags and hopefully they will be well received.

    July spends

    Supermarket £148.84
    Fuel £75
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Thanks debtfree, actually got 4 days off so going to be productive whilst the weather not so great this morning. Then the plan is to enjoy the warm weather that is forecast.

I do have a bit of a to do list this morning which involves me firstly going to the gym. First hurdle is that my gym bag is in the car and it is now raining! I do really need to get through the rest of the list which is......

    Book holiday taxi
Sort out car tax after ringing garage
Book window cleaner (been meaning to do this for ages)
Sort out uniforms (some outgrown so can go to local charity who are recycling them) and new ones need putting away.

We were meant to be put last night but sold our tickets for £60 as couldn't go. £12 spent on wine and watched a Netflix series. Still had a lovely evening and we have money left for holiday bits.

Payday next week which is most welcome as we are in the red. Our expenses at home have temporarily increased so hoping it all balances out over the next few weeks.

Enjoy the sunshine over the next few days everyone.

    July spends:

    Supermarket £170.72
    Fuel £75
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Thanks both, managed to sit in the sunshine with my book yesterday which usually means I've had a good day.

More changes at home which means the unexpected change (an extra person here) is no longer in place. Cryptic I know but necessary. However, everything is back to normal and my head is slightly less full.

Currently researching hedge trimmers (exciting I know) but all the ones on offer are out of stock. Did debate paying someone but if we buy a decent one with a long blade we should manage it between us......eventually!

Waiting for the sun to come out so might as well go to the gym whilst it makes its mind up.

Food/fuel budget looking good and only needs to last today and tomorrow. That's with me filling up the tank yesterday aswell to take advantage of Cashback offer.

    It's been a strange day.

Did get to the gym, smashed a 5k run in about 31 minutes so please with that and could probably up my pace.

Popped out with dh and children to get some holiday clothes (mostly shoes but extra bits for dd). I will do anything for her not to spend the Summer in football kits!

£1.40 spent on 2 packs of yellow sticker roasted veg so I had a combination of that, Linda mcc@rtnet sausages and spicy rice for dinner. Have enough left for two more meals.

Ended up buying a hedge strimmer from b@q. £56 spent but it had the longest blade and it is pretty effective. Made a start this afternoon and hopefully get all the hedges done this week. I am mindful of carefully looking for birds nests too.

Also bought a slip/slide/water balloon mat for the children. It was £10 but we had vouchers for £5.50. Am sure it will be enjoyed so worth the expense even if it only lasts for this current spell of hot weather.

Currently have £70 in food/fuel budget with one day to go. Pretty pleased with that!

I must remember to sort out car tax and holiday club tomorrow. Have a bigger jobs list than that but they are 'must do's!'

Thanks Brodie, we've had a relaxing day. Went to our local NT property then lots of water fun in the garden.

I was optimistic that we would manage a NSD so used the leftover food budget money to pay for the hedge strimmer and paid £14.72 off the mortgage. Sorted out childcare and cancelled sessions so a decent refund due.

Payday tomorrow so be good to see the account back in the black!
