Still excited about the puppy..... But am also now curious. Is a '30 day shred' what it sounds like? You do some shredding every day? Or is it more methodical than that? Paper is my nemesis!

Sounds like a good workout apple. You're so consistent with exercise.

Pirate girl, when I joined this forum many people were discussing 'shredding'. I too thought it was paper shredding. In fact it was a 30 d@y shred workout plan! I've done it a few times before, it's such a tough workout but really works. Just not much fun at 6:45 each morning!

NSD here. Mortgage goes out tomorrow so will be able to update spreadsheet/signature once balances updated. I do quite like it being the 1st of the month as it brings us one month closer to mortgage freedom.

    Shred day 4 done.

Have totalled our July spends and I'm happy with our totals. We have also reduced the mortgages by £1000 capital last month and our current end date is only 99 months away! :j

    July spends

    Mortgage overpayments £127.70
    Supermarket spends £227.83
    Fuel £111.24

So now I just need to locate the £160 we didn't spend :rotfl:

So we've already kicked off the August supermarket spends. Dh spent £11 in @ldi and I went to m*s after work and got some
bargains. It will need to eaten quickly but I got a huge amount for £3. Also bought some pizzas and chicken pieces which brought total to £13. We have a few delicious meals to look forward to.

Had a refund to the account today which I was sure we would get but couldn't confirm until it landed. Have sent £200 to the holiday fund. Piano lessons also paid for but sadly no pennies to Tilly tidy.

Soaked up the last of the sunshine after work reading my book then played some games in the garden with ds. We have taken action to reduce their technology time (us too) and it's working well so far.

    Supermarket £24.11

Morning all, the sun is shining here which is a pleasant surprise as forecast wasn't great.

Limiting family screen time means I am soooo far behind on diaries!!

Most household admin tasks are done but I do need to look into a gas and electric deal as our current one either ends at the end of the month or has already ended.

£4.30 mortgage overpayment which was £2 current account reward for us both and 30p requested from tcb.

Shred day 6 done and as I get more familiar with the cycles it seems to go faster and is easier. Am focusing on my end results and do feel better for it already.

Today's plan is house tidy, more hedge cutting (seems to be taking forever) and to sit and relax. First we are off our to look for puppy related items. I want the children to make a bit of a scrap book which will also encourage some handwriting over the summer holidays. Let's see how they feel after window shopping as they haven't shared my enthusiasm so far!!

    August spends

    Supermarket £24.11
    Fuel £30.01

Thanks PF, I did have a look and somehow their quote is higher than my current supplier. Will do some more research though.

Thanks Ella, day 7 done. Not planning any rest days but If I'm really struggling I will follow the easier version. Since I'm doing level 3 hopefully that's still hard enough and it's definitely less strain than the explosive movements I'm currently doing. Not eating drastically low calories but have cut back a bit more in an effort to rid myself of this last half a stone.

So, shred day 7 done. Lost 0.9lb this week but saw a new low on the scales this morning. I weigh daily and look at my average so should start the new week off well.

Dh has done some overtime and a quick top up shop on the way home. Mostly snacks for a picnic tomorrow and I dislike buying carp so he has paid!

Really need to get puppy research project on the go. I have everything out ready for the children but am picturing me doing it alone. I do love a good sharpie pen though!!

Took dd to local tennis courts to play yesterday but they were full so we played on the grass. Not as easy doing a rally of volleys but we had fun and had a good chat on the way there and back as we walked. Dd wants to go again so we are going to take our chances and hope the court is free.

    Fuel £60.02

Great figures Cath and well done on the shred. Yikes, I though I was doing well walking the dog a bit further than normal, but that's a whole new level!! Puppy - how exciting. We have a Cocker spaniel who is as mad as a hatter even at age 9 but so much fun. He has a rock collection he keeps behind our sitting room curtains and gets very upset if anyone dares to look at them. Lots of fun ahead for you all.

Thanks Chumpy, I'm hoping that puppy exercise can replace my expensive gym membership!

Had a good day yesterday, played tennis with the children for an hour as we went into the morning as courts more likely to be free. Only clocked up 2000 steps in an hour but I know I worked harder than that and hit my 10k target for the day. Both children played out with friends (technology time reduction still going well). I did some puppy research and feeling a little more prepared now.

Window cleaner sourced and will be coming every 8 weeks, £12 a time and we have quite a lot of windows and doors so seems a fair price.

So today, no food shop needed so should be a nsd. Both cars filled with fuel and my car is going in for a free service (asked for it due to tax miscommunication).

Current account looking healthy and cb due in tomorrow. We are in a much stronger position than last month when I accidentally overpaid an extra £400!

It's shred time - day 8. Just hope I can keep up with the harder level 3 version as I'm a bit achy! Seeing results though so that should be my motivation right there.
