Just popping in quickly. Been a hectic day at work followed by my business launch
40p Tilly tidy and leftovers for dinner. It all helps!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Another busy few days. Have been on work related trips and also working to kick-start my new business. I'm involved in network marketing and really enjoying the personal development and love the products.
Payday for dh today and it appears he has been paid correctly! Dh is gong to pop to Mr S later as the have their double up points offer and we have loads! Children have written their Christmas lists which are quite realistic and they've put thought into what they would like.
Been awake since 1am after going to bed at 9pm. My much needed early night didn't exactly go to plan!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Awful isn't it. I just think of how productive I could be if I got up and did stuff!Moneyfordreams wrote: »I feel your pain... my sleep pattern is always a bugbear, post nights it's up the wall.!
I feel for you Mfd. I only worked nights as a student, barely slept in the day and used to hallucinate by the 4th night!
Spends updated, somehow we have only spent £108 on food so far this month! We don't do 'big shops' anymore and shop very few days which works for us. Dh usually does it on his way home from work.
Trip to Mr S for the double up was unsuccessful as they didn't have what we needed. Need to have another think, dh has gone to do some overtime so he could call on his way home. T3sco have sent us a 10 off 50 and some 7 off 50 vouchers so may use those to kick-start our Christmas shopping. I have never been so late doing it!
Extension update......we have walls! We can really appreciate how the extra space is going to work now. The interior is finished builder wise so will be decorated at the end of the month :j im looking forward to seeing the progress on the build over the next few weeks. Be nice to get it water-tight for Christmas!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
We've stopped the big shops too. I'll be getting my shopping list organised soon. My OH's employers have 20% staff discount for a couple more days. Plan to get laundry liquids and non perishables. I won't be going OTT on food just when we've broken the habit.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220

Exactly Mfd, food shopping is one of the few areas we can cut back.
Popped to Mr S for their double up offer which wasn't exactly stress free! I doubled up but then they said the item was excluded and then the discounts weren't taken off correctly. I queried it and they realised they had overcharged me by £20. All sorted though and I spent £7.50 cash on two marvel figures for ds (would never have paid cash for them), an Xbox one controller and game. I'm pleased with that. Still have points to double up to £70 so will go back today or tomorrow for pyjamas and whatever else I can find.
50p Tilly tidy yesterday and 75 points on y0ugov over the weekend. Still chipping away. Our standard overpayment is over £390 so I don't often find extras but it's good to know we can pay that comfortably. I also get a payrise this month so am interested to know what's left after stoppages. Hopefully enough to actually make use of the extra income!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

NIce to to get a pay rise cath, well done
Well I lost 2/3 in stoppages!
Life has been crazy busy and the weeks continue to fly! I have finally started Christmas shopping and clever use of Mr S points means we have quite a pile for just £47 cash so far! That includes an activity pack for the Christmas Eve box!
Spent an extra £25 today on a bl@ck Friday deal for dh so running total is £72. Still not bad! Have £110 left in M*S vouchers which get tooped up with £20 a month. We visited a massive store today but as had the children with us didn't get to explore. Managed to buy new boots for DD (hope she will wear them as promised) and got two new cushions to match the new colour scheme in the extension. We had to decide on colours quickly as he decorators started today instead of next week! Downside is the workmen being here at the weekend again.
We bought an M*S dine in so at least have wine to look forward to! Am trying to avoid going to a main supermarket today despite needing a food shop. No wonder the spends are so low, we don't get chance to go!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
If I had more time and lived closer to supermarkets, I would do smaller shops as I think they work out better, that said I am fatal in a supermarket for picking up things not on the listDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
