Thanks Newgirly
I've been surprisingly productive today! Even made a roast dinner which dh usually does. All windows cleaned upstairs whilst dh did overtime. I suddenly have renewed energy and I feel so much better!
£7.54 mortgage overpayment which came from t3sco current account interest.

Quick update as this week is proving to be sooo busy! Didn't get home until after parents evening and feel like I've hardly seen the children this week. At least the weekend is upon us.
Build update? The digger has left the garden! We're ready for the bricks to be laid but don't see that happening today. Joiner is coming to finish interior today so hoping there's no delays there as I have friends coming round next week and the room needs to look half decent. Now just hoping the decorator can squeeze us in before Christmas!
Sofa has arrived and despite mix up with delivery am tempted to order another as it is beautiful and was such a good price! Again, just need to see if they can guarantee Christmas delivery.
Tried to keep spends low this week, London cost £11 for a meal and £4 bus fare. I used a snack from breakfast and lunch to feed me on the train. Colleague was impressed at my money saving habit!! :rotfl:
Have ordered a new piano book for dd for her to work towards her grade 1. She has changed teachers and her enthusiasm has returned and it's lovely seeing her progress.
Plan for today is, be productive in work, come home to good house progress, remind dh to buy wine and have movie night wth ds whilst dd at football. It's only our 3rd week but has quickly become part of our routine and he reminded me of it last night. Tonight's film is 'elf'

Film enjoyed by us both last night
Today has been fairly productive. The flooring is done in the new room so I moved around furniture and we moved the piano back - wow they don't move easily!!! Can see why you need the professionals to move them. Moved bits of furniture so it looks homely in there and we can see ourselves spending lots of time in there as a family
We had two packs of flooring left over,no receipt but we have exchanged it for Scotia to complete floor and also bought the wallpaper now we've decided on it. Tried to find a rug on m*s online as have vouchers to use from our account switch. We do have a large m*s near our local outlet village but i'd prefer to go midweek with my mum rather than dh :rotfl:
Top up shop done yesterday so spends updated, spent £65 on food so far this month :jJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
