Really well thanks muser, have just over 3 weeks to go and I'm feeling very different in my clothes. If you're thinking of dong it I'd say just go for it. I wish I'd started sooner but the cost of food put me off. It hasn't been as bad as I thought. I'm also planning to stick to the principles after the plan ends
Dh has increased his pension contributions this afternoon by 50%. I checked accounts and realised some cash back from Mr m has not yet tracked so I will be keeping a close eye on that. Had a mini panic when I saw dh's car tax had debited but not mine. Searched online and my car is taxed! Phew!

Thanks newgirly, I'll look into it.
Happy hump day!
One childcare cheque has cleared so may need to money shuffle to cover the big one I wrote this week. Food account doesn't look as depleted as it did this time last month which is definitely a positive
50p tillymtidy made and there is spare money in DH's bills account. I'll wait for mine to clear and then oay it off t3sco.
Valuation has been done for new mortgage and builder has confirmed we don't need to pay a separate fee for a structural engineer as was suggested by the architects. £250 saved :j I cant quite believe we are starting our extension next month!!!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Looks set to be a sunny day here and I don't have a stressful work day planned which is a bonus! I have managed to hurt my shoulder though, it's really stiff and sore. Trying to do lots of stretches as I have weights to lift after work.

Food spends are surprisingly low but I'm not complaining! Still have quite a bit of chicken in the freezer for my plan and picking as many courgettes as i can from the garden to reduce veg costs!
31p Tilly tidy today and paid the leftover bill money of £6ish off t3sco.
Have a busy day planned, I'm about to do a 1 1\4 hour workout and also want to try and get into town to change the children's saving accounts which have matured. Am thinking a 3% 3 year bond is the best we are going to get?
Dd has a party today so we are going to take ds out to a local attraction. It is free to get in but optional spends on activities and ice cream once there. It gets very busy so are hoping by going before lunch it will actually be enjoyable! If time allows we will go raspberry picking on the way back.
Barbecue planned for later, nothing extravagant but we have barely used it and the children will love it.
Sun is shining here, I best get moving and lift those weights!
Have a great day everyoneJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
What a busy day! Making the most of the sun is exhausting! Took a picnic to the farm and I sat with a diet coke. Quickly had some lunch when we got back before I went to get dd from her party. Took the children to the work nearby and bought them both an ice cream which did wasted half of she is at that stage of not taking any advice on board and thinking she's always right! She's 7, I am not looking forward to the teenage years! :rotfl:
Small top up shop for BBQ stuff. Thought for a while it wasn't going to light but in the end we enjoyed a nice family meal outside.
Unfortunately thr pick your own fruit place was closed, there were loads of raspberries last time we went. Its a shame as they taste amazing and my freezer supply is running low!
Undecided on a fun filled family day out tomorrow or whether to relax at home! Interestingly, Ds didn't particularly enjoy all the activities and attractions at the farm and had more fun playing on the local park! Spent £1 on a go-kart ride and then £3.10 on ice creams at our local park.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
