Evening
Quick update from me. 67p Tilly tidy and I get paid tomorrow so will do the money shuffle and pay o% cc before work.
Bed has arrived and just requires slight assemblywe bought it from a local business and much happier trading locally. Delivered for free this evening and I only bought it yesterday. I wonder if dh fancies swapping the bedrooms around tomorrow whilst I'm in work?

Far too tired for a big update.
In brief....?
Long week at work, 4 hours sleep last night and been ready for my bed all day.
However, FD text to say mortgage funds approved pending valuation and I now have 9 glorious days off work. Its payday too so i shall be back with financial news tomorrow once I've had some sleep.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Oh my word we haven't stopped today! Was ready for a good nights sleep but got woken at 4am to ds vomiting so my day started then. He alternated between feeling bright and sleepy during the day but picked up enough to play in the garden and also asked to go out on his bike. He tired really quickly though and finally ate something at dinner time. Temp spiked again before bed so who knows what tonight will bring.
After swapping beds yesterday, we completely swapped the bedrooms today since we were mostly housebound. (Dh took dd to football but that's all we did!). It took ages and I don't understand how people move house in a day and manage to have beds to sleep in that night!
67p tilly tidy and have listed a few items on local selling site. Have made a to do list which I really should tackle......once I've had some sleep!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Quiet Sunday for us, D's not at swimming due to not being 100% but he's had his report and am so proud of him! He's achieved his 10m badge, he's only 4 so I think he's doing well.
I've done an hour weight/cardio workout and dh is a trooper and has gone to work for some overtime. Children are occupied so I'm going to hit the bedrooms again. This means a serious de-clutter and swapping round everyone's clothes!
Hopefully I will resurface around lunch time!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Well that was a major task! I ended up with piles of clothes everywhere but the end result is we have a bag for the charity shop, dh will pass on clothes to his brothers and everything is where it should be. We have also been able to de-clutter 2 pieces of furniture which I have sold on fb. Any income from selling things will go towards a trip to furnish/decorate the children's new bedrooms.
Have a 'to do' list which includes ringing opticians to order replacement glasses for dd. She has been really careless and irresponsible over the last few months. Any advice? She's nearly 8.
We have however made a list of things to do over the summer.I saw this tip somewhere and if children complain they are bored you can suggest they do something from their list.
Her list ranges from writing a story to playing football all together and making invitations for her birthday party. I've added things like go strawberry picking, have a picnic by a river (plenty of places to choose locally) and eat outside when it is sunny. It's still a work in progress but will hopefully create lots of memories.
Food spends updated and fortunately we have spent a lot less than last month. I was worried about how much I was spending on this plan!
Not sure exactly how much money we have left until next payday. I should probably work this out but account looking very healthy as cheque for childcare not cleared and instill need to write one for almost £400! This is even with dh and me taking opposite annual leave! At least from September we have no more chikdcare costs and it is budgeted for as I continue to factor £300 a month for childcare from wages with the intention of it being overpaid etc.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

You seem to do really well with redecorating on a good budget. We need to get new curtains and blinds mainly. We still have n3xt digger curtains up in our new bedroom :rotfl:Moneyfordreams wrote: »Are you planning any rest in your annual leave?
Maybe a little? I sat and read some of my book whilst waiting for dd at piano - does that count? Had a lovely hour or so in the park and another mum came over to me to comment that dd is really good at football and asked if she plays for a club. It's lovely when people take the time to comment. I was most proud that despite her starting off playing alone she managed to involve herself in a game with other children. I was watching nearby and she used her social skills well to involve others in her game.

Don't get me started on glasses. I'm sick of taking DS1 glasses back to opticians. Think they're sick of me to! I have no advice at all, so am willing to hear yours... (DS1 is 7 by the way).MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Dd lost all sorts during the summer term, all sorts of things disappeared temporarily including pe kit and expensive school cardigans.
Replacement glasses shouikd be ready by the end of the week.
Am not expecting today to be brilliant as I've been awake since 1:30am  I will be struggling later
Got up after a couple of hours and decided to make use of my extra time by catching up with some journals I haven't had chance to read. Ds is up now so we are watching jumanji!
Sold some items yesterday so £5 made and more items being collected later. Have 2 bags ready for charity shop and there is still a lot more decluttering to be done. The house feels cluttered at the moment and it's really bothering me.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
