Thank you. Hope payment doesn't take too long to come through as it's going off the mortgage.
Not prepared for the dust lulabelle, it was bad enough when we had a doorway made when we converted garage. The dust just kept coming out of the gap until it was sealed and plastered! This time we are knocking out landing window to create a doorway and most of dining room wall is being knocked out (these are both exterior walls!)
Had a busy but enjoyable weekendweekend.I only have one more week in work before a week off and we have planned a surprise for the children after school on Tuesday to make the most of the weather. Its been glorious here today and I took ds strawberry picking after his swimming lesson whilst dh took dd to a birthday party. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden which was a mixture of tennis and football. I've also managed to move a big planter full of sweet peas which although growing well haven't flowered. I think the need more sun so hoping they will be happier in their new sunnier spot!
Yet more food shopping done.

Just in time for summer holidays Jimmy! Hope there's not too much disruption.
84p Tilly tidy, almost payday and account needs to survive just one more day! Made another 50p on y0ugov earlier and am determined not to ignore a single survey invite!
Builder calling next week so good progress there. The architects have quoted us for a surveyor for the roof so need to speak to builder to see if he requires this. Had a quote to have our wardrobes re-sprayed...... £700!! Think I'll leave them as they are!

Resisted ice creams not once but twice today in an effort to stick to my plan. I was melting by the middle of the afternoon though!

I don't think you can ever be prepared for the mess, but it's best not to think about it as there's nothing you can do about it and it's a means to and end.
This time last year we were in full throws of it all... and this year we're enjoying the rewards of last years suffering!
It'll be fab when it's all done and the pain makes it even more worthwhile0 -
Thanks mg. It will be worth it lulabelle, will just have to put up with the mess and focus on the end result.
Dh payday, 68p and 58p Tilly tidy. Money shuffled and bills paid.
Bought a new double bed and mattress today which will be delivered tomorrow. This means the weekend will be spent swapping bedrooms! Have already advertised ds old bed on selling site so fingers crossed it sells quickly. Used the £40 from selling garden toy towards the bed and have been able to siphon off bits and pieces of dh wageJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
