Thanks bookworm, its a weight off our mind. Hoping to get 2nd builders quote through this week.

Well that's another weekend flown by. I am definitely ready for a week off. Honestly can't remember the last time I had a full week off work! Maybe November last year? Only a few weeks to go.

First food/petrol spends of the month done so will update once I locate my receipt. Not achieved much this weekend really but we have had sunshine!

Prize draw survey done on y0ug0v today which I usually ignore but it has resulted in the chance of being invited to a daily survey.

Middle of the month slump for us.

Awww Cath, you have my sympathies re waiting for time off. I thought it was bad enough not having time off since New Year...but November  Hang in there...it will be here soon.
What works for me is counting down in working days....sounds better ;)

    Morning! It's hump day!

Mortgage paperwork has arrived :) just need to collect relevant documentation to send off. Apparently you can photograph and email it through which would save me buying ink!

Refund arrived from 8t and found £6 in dh bills account so sent £35 straight to a 0% card. Things are s bit tight until next Tuesday but if we are focused we shouikd manage without putting anything on the cc. If we do, it's not a disaster as will just pay it off when cb hits next week.

    Have a good day everyone!

Great progress and a lovely little bonus for interest to be 2.59 instead of 2.69%. How often to things like that go the other way!

Great progress. And equally clueless on spreadsheets. managed to clear first mortgage without one so I feel they are not essential :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

98p Tilly tidy, swimming cheque has cleared and just July childcare to pay for. We would have ample fundsfunds until payday without that to pay.

More mortgage paperwork has arrived but am stuck now until we have all 3 quotes. Dh is collecting a more detailed breakdown of one quote later.

1.5 days in work until the weekend :j

Well, quote breakdown received and its shocking some of the things that have been quoted for! Two more quotes meant to be emailed to us tomorrow so fingers crossed we get those. If so can sort out paperwork over the weekend.

Managed to juggle childcare costs for the summer holidays down to £390. Since we continue to budget £300 a month for childcare (but have saved it for the last few months) this is doable.

50 points on y0ug0v, up to £49.25 on there now. So close!

Great progress here. Had our 3rd quote in and whereas the other two were £50k+ this was £38k and from the builder we secretly wanted!

Going to put quotes side by side and do a thorough comparison. We have been quoted for decoration costs etc.

Food spends updated and almost single figures until payday :j
