67p Tilly tidy yesterday. Again didn't buy wine, do I overpay the £8?

Had our first builder quote yesterday, its just over £50k. Its the damn VAT sending it over budget. I'm now debating cancelling the £300 overpayment again and being very strict about saving that. We only reinstated it last month though :( I'm just thinking it would allow us to build up a contingency/take pressure off. We have also chatted about maybe leaving the pitched roof or not having shower room fitted for now and save up for those.

By borrowing £50k (if we are able to) our mortgage will be 10k more than it was 11 years ago andi think equity/house value would only increase by £30k.

Am going to ring mortgage company later to get a new provisional figure as I think all the paperwork (written quotes etc) is required to get the offer.

50p on y0ug0v yesterday, 175 points until payout.

Rang mortgage company and a mortgage advisor is ringing us in the week. Its a 60-90 minute call and I remember from the last time it felt like an interrogation! Food shop done yesterday and running total for June is about £260. It's definitely costing more for this food plan but totally worth it and I am still sticking to the cheaper options.

8t are refunding us almost £30 from last bill which took me by surprise! I've been convinced they would try to get more money out of me! Reducing a few direct debits actually fits in quite nicely with new mortgage application. Still planning what to do with this.

Off to check if I need to update mfit-t4 thread.

Just need savings to come tnhick and fast now!

Top up shop yesterday of £7.09.

Yesterday was busy! Dh did 6 hours overtime but had a flat tyre on the way home! Its possibly a valve issue so he is hoping to get that sorted out today. I took the children swimming and tried to get washing done before the rain arrived. Queue me hanging it out and getting it back in 20 minutes later! Did manage to cut the lawns though so garden looking better. I wanted to get it done as rain/showers forecast all week.

All housework done too. Washing machine on again now so will be up to date with everything ready for the start of the working week. I wish I was in the position on a Saturday morning but hey-ho.

91p Tilly tidy, may need to do some shuffling soon! Food spends have gone up but there should be a 'spare' £100 in that account.

Have another builder calling later and quote from first builder expected by the end of the week. :)

    June spends updated.

    Food £329.96
    Petrol £130.02

Food costs have increased considerably but remains within budget. 8t money owed still hasn't arrived, can't say I'm not surprised! Dh escaped needing to payout for his car as his brother has a similar car ready for scrap and we have come away with tyres and an exhaust!

Tilly tidy yesterday of 60p. Cash back from current account of £5.60 arrived so paid that off t3sco yesterday. 3rd builder has been and is working on quote. Other quote should be available beginning of next week (contacted that builder yesterday). We've been chasing another builder for a quote for a while, since we already have 3 we won't ask again!

Off to check bank accounts and possibly shuffle money as sent dh to pick up some more weights for me.

Hi, it's 'what I owe the world' I pinched it off Michelle ages ago. It works for me because sometimes 0%cc and house savings take priority over overpayments and it helps keep me motivated.

Last year my goal was to reduced wiotw by £12,676 and we did it!

Food spends pennies under £330 for the month. That's a lot for us but I'm getting through a fair amount of avocadoes and Greek yoghurt!

Thanks newgirly, really enjoying it. Am onto the second cycle and hoping due to food choices it will be a bit cheaper this month. I saw what you were eating on your diary and wonderded how it could be adapted to what I'm doing.

Still no &T refund, no y0ug0v surveys but have made 42p Tilly tidy.

Mortgage agreed in principle, the full amount we wanted took us over 75% LTV so we compromised on a bit less which will still be enough. Most age repayments very doable and we will still make overpayments.

Very much ready for the weekend, I need a 7am lay in!!
