What a week! Dh has been working crazy hours so I'm so glad Friday is here. Payday for dhdh and wage was great, he has had his promised bonus and the agreement was half for him and half for us. Of course, our half goes to the mortgage!
Got some money shuffling to do as FD text to say funds were ready. Logged into account to see an awful lot of money sitting there! will move it in the morning and also send an overpayment o mortgage part 1. Both mortgages were available to view online at last but the balances didn't make sense. If account has sorted itself out I will send op tomorrow.
Dh watching football and drinking wine so think I'll do the y0ugov survey that's waiting for me and catch up on hereJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Pouring with rain here so planning a productive but relaxing day at home. Just made toast for everyone and I can't eat until after my workout! 1 hour 10 mins long today so I best get a move on!
Y0ugov survey done last night and another this morning, back up to £6.75 on there. Got outbid on the final seconds on a clothes bundle for dd, she is so fussy and not easy to buy for! I try to be reassured that headstrong children are nastural leaders and go far in life :rotfl:
Admin tasks, decluttering and a family film hopefully the plan for today.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Enjoy you day! I fancy toast now. I answered yoru post re surveys on my diary, but also pr0filic is one I hardly get screened out of as they only highlight surveys you are eligible for.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thanks debtfree
Well I don't feel like I've achieved anything today which is frustrating. My workouts are wiping me out at the weekend.
Did pop to dun3lm with Dd as she loves the cafe there and I treated her to a hot chocolate and we had a nice chat about her starting the juniors. I could have spent a fortune in there but only bought what I went for, a new double duvet and mattress protector. Got home and realised we don't actually need mattress protector but will use if for dd's new bedroom.
£115 sent as an overpayment off mortgage part 1. That was made up of a share of dh bonus and surplus money in the bills account.
Quiet and relaxing evening planned, I need to recover from today! Week 5 of summer holidays looms and I'm off on week 6. Am sure I'll have two very bored children by that point!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Another busy day, dh has done a few more hours overtime. He finished in time to do a quick food shop before getting home in time for me to take Ds to meet up with friends without having to take dd along. Also meant I saved £6 on soft play and meal for her!
Have been busy trying to organise parties, we have decided on food for dh birthday and we are really trying to keep costs down. Have made a final list of things we need which we will get over the course of this week. On top of that have been trying to book dd's party and just waiting for venue to confirm my online booking. Next will be ds birthday, possibly soft play but can't seem to find the offer they did last year! I will keep looking.
Have finally clarified which account number belongs to which mortgage as the online view is confusing at the moment. Second very basic spreadsheet set up but all overpayments will be off mortgage part 1 as the interest rate is higher. Need to set up something to track extension spends as we have a generous contingency fund and anything leftover needs to be paid off mortgage part 1. I haven't set any new goals as yet but that is the next plan.
Have switched some direct debits to an unused current account ready to do an account switch. Dh will sort his out tomorrow as company closed today.
Still not done anything with the children's accounts, looks like that will have to be a task for my week off (next week! Am feeling ready for it)
Small food shop done so will update totals.
Got that end of weekend wiped out feeling now! Even dd is sleeping!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hope you enjoy your week off, Cath.0

Hi Helen, not run for a while due to the plan I am doing so have been doing hiits and weights. Hoping to run this weekend just to see how much stronger I am. Hoping body hasn't forgotten how to run though!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
£10 paid off t3sco which was made up of money left in my bills account and money saved from only taking one child to soft play!
Have had a fiddle with spreadsheets, we can comfortably afford to pay an extra £100 off mortgage overall, (new payment slightly offset my old part OP's)June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
