I really enjoy the HIIT classes.

I really enjoy the HIIT classes.

I think I'm going to stick to HIIT plus weights as I can fit it in around the children much more easily so can workout 4-5 rimes a week.

84p Tilly tidy yesterday. Also had a call off the fraud squad at the cc company, getting through security was the most stressful bit. Card cancelled and a new one on its way. It's just to avoid any potential risk.

Payday for me today but struggled to get up this morning so may save money shuffle for after work. Have various bits to pay off including some of cp holiday etc. I really need my week off to sort out a lot of financial admin.

Dh party this weekend but he's saved me some cash as some of the ideas I had he isn't interested in. He wants a simple party with his friends and family - I can't argue with that.very tempted to OP what I planned to spend on extras!

Re. parties: I organise a party for my son's birthday each year. Not paid an outside company any money at all as two have been at home and one at my parents'. His first (age 3) was an 'explorer's party' and my wife and I turned two rooms into a jungle for the day. For his second party we turned different rooms into different points in time (dining room was a medieval dining hall etc.), everyone dressed up from a different era in time and we played various games. His last party was based on the golden age of steam and was at my parents' house because they have a live steam garden railway. We make all the decorations, food etc. which gives my wife and I chance to spend some evenings together working on something a bit different. No idea what we're doing this year yet, though. Everyone that's been has enjoyed it and a few parents have said it makes a refreshing difference. :)

Hi cath, that's a lot of parties to sort!

My suggestion is to have all children born as close together as possible , I managed twins and dd 10 days (and three years!) apart and try to time for the summer months :rotfl: hey presto joint birthday parties in the garden :T

Seriously though, the best kids party we had was a water fight in the pouring rain (it always rains on all their birthdays in July!) empty dustbins and waste paper bins filled with water as refill points dotted around the garden and lots of water pistols , kids dressed in bin bags - it kept them happy for the whole party. Has to be the cheapest and laziest one I ever did. :D

Thanks for popping in Alex. In summary we started off with one child and now have two, I retrained to do my dream job. We (mainly me) went through a never-ending cycle of 'should we move house?' Put it on the market last year then after no offers took it off and had architect plans drawn up and fingers crossed our extension work begins next month!

I remember reading about that latest party, so wonderful to do something different. I think we are going to have a day out instead for ds (possibly gulliv3rs w0rld).

Newgirly there are 13 days between their birthdays (+3 years) so similar to yours. I bet that was one of their favourite parties!

75p Tilly tidy. Have been trying to sort out direct debits ready for current account switch, seems its impossible to change details via d**v**l**a. So frustrating. Don't really have any other direct debit options to switch. Think that one has been a non starter!

Planning to catch up with some financial admin when the chi!dren are in bed as dh is playing football so can concentrate!

Was going to treat myself to a couple of beauty products but have decided I would rather have a new duvet cover and cutains for the bedroom! Its a bit boring being grown up!

Tell me about it, the excitement I felt buying a few new towels last week gave me quite a fright :rotfl:

Excellent cath, I see you also planned perfectly for joint birthday events if needed :rotfl: the real savings should kick in when they all turn 18 and 21 at the same time eh ;)
