Thank you. Life is very different to when I started.
Have tried to be productive today despite having no energy. Woke at 5:30am (had wine last night) and been awake since. Did a 40 minute workout this morning and hoovered the house but that's all I've had energy for!
Worked out new budget to take into account new mortgage. We can afford to keep up £308 monthly OP on existing mortgage as well as new repayment which is almost £220. This is a combination of using our share of DH monthly bonus, using £100 of the £300 I continue to allocate to 'nursery' and there's £65 floating around the bills budget due to reducing b*g@s and &ky bills. Even if we don't keep it up long term it would be good to do it for a while to maximise interest saved.
Meter reading submitted and usage is pretty low :jj
Paperwork for my t3sco account has arrived so signed and posted back today.
Cleaned up childrens' school shoes and they look good as new. They still fit so I'm not buying new ones! Dd commented that her friend showed her her new shoes and she said they were just the same as she had last year! Maybe I have a future MSE here. Today she has also decided to draw pictures and sell them for £2 each outside the house to raise money for a new football kit. I am hoping this one is just an idea though!
Dh off out later (extended bday celebrations, I'm also planning that my 40th (not for ages!) Will last a week) so I am planning on a relaxing evening.

Oh my, you really *are* organised, aren't you! Kudos
Cath, do you check your meter readings regularly? I'm wondering if I should start - though because I'm thinking about it more, I'm better anyway. I used to leave the laptop on standby when I was working wtih a client - I've made a conscious effort now to shut it down when I've finished, little things like that.
As for the big things, though - your OP is fantastic, good for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks KC, I check and submit monthly. Get extra n3ctar points for doing so and I like to keep an eye on usage
Busy day but not hugely productive. I did fall asleep for half an hour late afternoon! This happened last weekend too!
This morning we delivered birthday cards, went to pay windows deposit but technology not available! (Will go back tomorrow or ask dh nicely if he will go).also took full charity shop bag that's been under the breakfast bar all week into our local shop. Whilst we were there I bought 4 books for 99p one of which was another 'how to draw' set of books which I will keep for dd birthday, the others were novels for me
Also sorted out 3 small drawers in bookcase whilst looking for passport photos, found some of dh so will get his passport sent off.
Haven't yet updated wiotw figure for this month, I'm slacking!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
A productive day!
Full day at work, 2 loads of washing done, line dried and already put away!
T3sco account open and have sent a small transfer, will fill it up once I can see that has cleared. 11p Tilly tidy made, have a y0ug0v survey ready for me. Dh t3sco paperwork has arrived so will get that posted in the morning.
We have also finally decided on a new sofa too so will get that ordered this evening.
What else happened today?????
Builder gave us a start date!! Just over 4 weeks to go! :j :j :jJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Yay, exciting stuff :ja penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0
-
Thanks PM, earlier in the year I thought the build would never happen!
Another productive day. Washing line dried, both worked a full day at work. Dh went for new pe kit for dd (£7 spent), HIIT and weights workout after work, 98p Tilly tidy, 2 m*s account applied for, browsed new cars!
If my house could magically tidy and clean itself I'd be completely on top!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
