Oh no, what's happening with them now? Another time extension request?

Not officially but we expect news by a certain day and then it changes to a few days ahead. We are in limbo and it's so frustrating.

Its all a waiting game. I am now dreading if we get to the stage of waiting for builders quotes. Everything just seems to be taking so long.

On a positive, its a long weekend! Need to update food/ petrol spends, read and submit gas and elec reading. Also see if we can reinstate op from June and increase dh pension

    Busy, busy, busy!

Yesterday not as productive as I hoped as lacking motivation and spent much of the day playing referee between the children! I had planned to exercise and attempt spring cleaning but was too cold to do anything!

However, financial tasks were done. Meter readings read and submitted (have to rely on dh as a tarantula lives in the gas meter box!) :rotfl:

Rang FD to check process of additional borrowing for extension and along with usual paperwork they will need copies of 3 builders quotes and copy of planning permission. Can release equity up to 90% LTV which is more than enough so hopefully no unexpected restrictions. If only planning would stop dragging their feet we could progress.

Also managed to reinstate our £300 op which means £600 will be coming off capital. Coloured in a house brick yesterday and looking forward to the others filling up fairly quickly!

Next job, increase dh private pension dd amount.

    Great OP Cath :T

Hopefully once you've got PP, the rest will speed up. It's hard when all you can do is chase and wait out the progress of others.

Good news with FD, you're well organised :)

Morning cath, it shows how much things have tightened up mortgage wise, we have remortgaged so many times over the years and have never been asked for builders quotes or proof of where the money is going- I wish we had been really :o Hope the pp comes through soon, you must be so fed up waiting now :)

Am definitely hoping this is the worst hurdle. They were definitely stricter newgirly, when we rang when we were hoping to move I couldn't get the call handler to budge on figure even by extending term.

Managed to do a fee y0ugov surveys this week instead of ignoring the emails! Am almost at £40 so hopefully the invites will keep coming to get me to £50 payout!

It's that time of year again where I need to switch broadband provider. Nothing will tempt me to stay with b*t! Have seen a couple of alternative providers who offer to cancel for you but also took out b*t sports so want to make sure they don't carry on charging me for that.

Its raining again and I can't wait for the forecasted warmer weather! Dh at work doing overtime, swimming lessons done and I am planning a relaxing afternoon. There's not much choice when there's no motivation around!

Well its a typical grey bank holiday. However I remain optimistic the sun will come out later! Have woken with more energy today despite a 3:45am wake up call (back to that in a minute) and think my lack of energy in recent days may be due to a subtle hangover! I only have 2 glasses at most but clearly it's enough to make me sluggish. Inspired by earthgirl I'm aiming for no wine in May!

Woke up sharp!y this morning as ds wet the bed.......my bed! last time I changed the bed I was too lazy to put mattress protector on so am seeing a silver lining in my pyjamas soaking up everything instead of the mattress!!!

Washing machine on with 2 more loads to follow as fallen behind due to wet weather.

Saw a bargain yesterday for tr3spass coats for the children reduced to £8.99. Have reserved them one each and dh will collect on way home from work. Dh ended up doing 5 hours overtime and has gone in again today but it means he can avoid using up precious holiday entitlement.

Hope someone is having a more exciting bank holiday than me.

  • I think mine is even less exciting..... I am sure there will be some good moments though xxx
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Nothing exciting happening here either if it makes you feel any better. My OH is ill and weather is awful so we've stayed inside all weekend bar a quick trip to the shops. Managed to paint the kitchen ceiling while DD napped today so at least that's something - had only been waiting 2 years lol!

Great news on the OPs - you'll be in such a good position when the building work finally starts!

Nothing exciting here either. Got drenched on a dog walk first thing! It's glorious now and kids are outside!

  • Joining you in the no alcohol. I have definitely been lethargic and unmotivated and there is a connection.
