Yes it is, how annoying! Tax code has gone up too but still no increase in take home pay. No movement of accounts today. Ds has settled well last 3 night so is having a toy as a reward so be a spendy day for us and will eat into budget left for the month.
Dh played football last night and I spent the evening cleaning the washing machine, how exciting! I think my frugal ways of always using a 30 degree wash aren't always a good idea and had to run machine on a 90 degree wash which took 3 hours!
Its freezing again this morning, am getting fed up of this weather now! We had some heavy snow yesterday, thankfully didn't stick but it was certainly very wintry. I've never known weather like this at the end of April.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

What was the problem with your washing machine?? I mostly wash on 30 degrees too, so you've got me worried...'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -

I have no self control on study days! However I did hunt down de-caff coffee at last one.pink_poppy wrote: »Yup, George giveth in one hand & George taketh away with the other hand

Just did a wash and it didn't seem/smell clean. I stopped using conditioner a while ago in case it was making dd excema worse but not noticed a huge improvement. Google just said that a 30 degree wash doesn't get rid of sludge/residue build up and tbh cleaning the washing machine slips my mind! I wasn't brave enough to put bleach in it. I do have c@lgon tablets but I'm a bit inconsistent.shangaijimmy wrote: »And you've reminded me that ours is overdue...
See at least you plan to do yours! Do you just use a hot wash?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Its Friday!! I'm going to forget that dd woke me at 3:45am and I've been awake since! I expect to be falling asleep by 8:30pm which should discourage any thoughts of wine!
Ds had his toy as promised which was cheaper than dh thought but even so £10 on a plastic toy isn't exactly a bargain! Ds loves it though and bribery worked
Mr m are tempting me to do a bog shop to stock cupboards/freezer but I find it expensive for some things. Have various vouchers of £7 off £60, 500 points if buy a bottle of wine, 500 points for doing a shop and 10% cash back if use current account.
Am very much looking forward to a 3 day weekend! Let's hope it warms up.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I use one of thos bottle cleaner things. You use some on a cloth for the rubber seal, then tip the rest in the detergent draw on the hottest wash there is.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Losing the will to live with planning as they keep moving the goalposts. I am distracting myself with a glass of wine or two.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
