My bank holiday consisted of doing clothes washing, hanging it out, bringing it in again when it started to rain, hanging it back out when it stopped, bringing it in again when it started, and so it continued until I lost it!:rotfl:
Did a food shop today too and had a wee coupon for £4 off £30 shop. Got the week's food for £39 for two of us. :TNST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸0 -
Pretty average bank holiday for us all then
I managed to clean all the upstairs windows, bleached the frames and cleaned the glass. Also gave upstairs a good Hoover. The carpets need replacing in two of the bedrooms (8 years old) but all that can wait until we do the build - if this ever happens!
We are meant to be definitely getting news from the planner today but I'm not raising my hopes for a decision.
My washing was out yesterday and stayed there to witness all the elements. I was quite pleased the sun came out late on and then it started hail stoning! It will dry today though. I have turned into my mother by leaving the washing on the line until it dries!
Tried to increase DH pension direct debit but couldn't see an option to do it online so will ask him to give them a ring after work. Rang b*t to cancel and after a quick apology for our nightmare experience I was offered some good deals. I'd told myself I would leave no matter what but the person I spoke to was clearly very good at their job. It's when you need help they are dreadful!
No tt's as yet as payments not debited and Hally reward hasn't gone in either. Might sweep them all up together and pay off t3sco instead of the usual 0% card.

So what did you cave in to with BT? I must be honest we switched to Talktalk and it was as seemless as possible, however we don't have any of the tv packages to consider.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

CathT, your food shop was £2.28? I'm doing something wrong then. Hah! What's your secret?
I'm getting ready to cancel our TV package with s*y and I'm actually hoping they don't give us a good deal so I'm not tempted to stay. What did b*t offer?NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸0 -

Not caved yet as we can save around £8 a month on the new deal they are offering. Am still shopping around. They tried to sell me loads of extra stuff though. Clarified their cancellation charges too which are hefty if you don't time notice period right.CathT, your food shop was £2.28? I'm doing something wrong then. Hah! What's your secret?

Haha, that was just a top up of spinach, stock cubes and tomato puree which helped us make a couple more meals. Have been back again today so will update totals. Sky is our next target. BT reduced our current deal by £8 ish. The line rental charge goes up again soon as well.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Food shop today at Mr S and @ldi and stuck to the list. We are disciplined and buy what we need rather than doing a big shop and seem to be saving money. :j
£10.77 spent between the twomamd had used a 49p till spit from Mr S.
Dd sat one of her Sats test papers today and feels relaxed and happy about it. She is happy there were no tests tomorrow though and although I am keeping her relaxed at home I wonder how hard school are pushing them. She is identified as more able and talented but I don't want her stressing about the tests.

Glad you mentioned the Hally reward, was wondering if I didn't qualify as they have not put my salary in till the 3rd of the month instead of the 1st. Will wait and see.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Great to hear your planning permission is moving forward. :T
Sky should give you a good deal as a new customer. Our first contract with them was £9.99 line rental for 10 months, free broadband for 12 months, and 50% off TV package. This won't continue for us, so we will be cancelling. Hope you find a good deal.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸0
