Thanks newgirly, don't really miss it. I do get tempted but feel better for resisting!

Swimming fees paid at the weekend £68.50 for a half term for Ds. Decided for ds to continue and dd ready to stop. £15 spent on a piano book today
No pennies to Tilly tidy and I will be spending £76 on tyres this week.

No builder or planning news so still in limbo!

    Quick midweek update from me.

9 days until payday :j Now I really can challenge us to live on next to nothing! Day at the zoo planned on Saturday though so hoping dh has money for an ice cream :)

Small top up shop done yesterday (£3.84) on way to get dd from brownies, that should get us to the end of the week.

Our date for planning application consideration is this weekend. Am hoping its not been opposed (no access to any potential comments on website) so relying on council to not delay it. Fingers crossed we will know in the next couple of weeks. We are keen to get next stage plans drawn up so builders are more willing to quote!

Off to check if t3sco bill been generated and pay money off before I change my mind.

Should you win your 9 day challenge, what's the reward? Cheeky OP I think is an appropriate gesture!

And breathe......its Friday!! :j as much as I am ready for the weekend, this week has absolutely flown!

    Popping in to update spends

    March.

    Food. £33.44
    Petrol £62.98

    ne!

Just moving this so its easier to find. Am really pleased with our spends so far this month. I'm wondering if us eating less meat is having a bigger impact than I thought. I will need petrol by the weekend which will bump up fuel spends.

Dh took my car for tyres, it passed recent MOT but assessor pointed out rear tyre close to limit. Took it to our regular tyre fitter and he confirmed tread is fine despite some wear on the tyre. £76 saved :j I would overpay this amount but it was money we didn't really have so will just be satisified with the relief! :)

8 days until payday,no food challenge set as yet SJ, I'm keen on a really frugal one but as dh does the shopping I think he panics when left with a small amount of cash :rotfl:

    Petrol £139.11
    Food. £81.90

Small top up shop today as we had almost run out of fruit! Swimming cheque has cleared leaving a 50p Tilly tidy available.

Not much else to report apart from feeling like I'm drowning with work!

Small food shop done (c0-0p £5 deal). Wine also purchased and after a glass and a half last night I can't say I've missed it. We had both fallen asleep by 9:30pm so what's the point!?!

Its the closing date for our planning consideration period tomorrow so might check website to check dates of applications validated this week to see how far behind we are. Still no quote, have come to the conclusion it's not worth bothering until we have pp and detailed drawings. I just can't see an end point to it and in my head I need to be able to think 'it will all be finished by.....'

Plans for weekend? Catch up on everything not done during the week!

Not good is it. I love my job but at times it is so stressful.

Took children bowling yesterday using a free voucher, £6spent on 3 drinks but dh paid :) D's wasn't a huge fan of doing the same thing for am hour so I was very grateful we hadn't paid to get in!

Had planned a day out today but plans abandoned and had a day at home instead which was exactly what we all needed. Children have played in the garden, piano practised and done some work using some books I bought for £3.50 off selling site. Books are maths and English guides to help children with their learning. I actually think dd is looking forward to her SATS! She is driven and likes to achieve. Have parents evening for both of them this week so looking forward to hearing about their progress.

Some decluttering done as dh realised we have far too many cups and glasses. This led to a sort out of the kitchen and the dreaded junk cupboard deluttered, cleaned and tidied.

2 loads of washing dried on line, will just need half hour on radiator.

Have tried to work out plan for march and April pay. Have worked out we need to pay for £100 of childcare over Easter hols so be nice to reduce this figure if possible!
