Winter fuel bill has arrived. We pay £89.50 and they suggest we increase to £128. Bill covers the most expensive quarter and only took into account two lots of direct debit payments plus we had about £80 credit. We are in credit by £25 for one and owe £12 on the other so overall £13 in debit. I am not increasing anything!
Childcare cheque has finally left the account, I budgeted for it from January's pay so its a good job I am disciplined.
No pennies to Tilly tidy due to us not spending anything. Just starting to think about in the next payday now! Dh will have a 5 week month plus 20 hours overtime :j
Dh was given free cinema tickets and a family bowling voucher so after liaising with the venue regarding the date I have booked us in for an evening of bowling. The only other time we have been as a family was when we went to CP. This must have triggered memories as Ds asked if my mum could come with us
Plan for the rest of the week?
Survive morning school runs (Dd being particularly difficult at the moment!)
Survive work
Stay away from the supermarket

Thanks lulabelle.
Am currently feeling OK but only had 4 hours sleep last night. I just couldn't switch off even though I went to bed before 9pm feeling exhausted. Spent about £4 yesterday on coffee and bits for lunch,I will also need petrol later but otherwise spends are pretty low.
Didn't expect snow yesterday, I am ready for spring!!
Need to send some money to cc later as dh had the tracking done on his car. My car also feeling strange so need to double check the tyres, we have replaced one but might be worth doing the other side sok er rather than later! Dh has also had new tyres so I have forgotten where we are up to.
15 days to payday and plenty of money in food/petrol account. Hoping to send Amy excess over to t3sco card at end of the month but am tempted to withdraw dome cash and force us to live on a small budgeted amount! Dh doing a food shop later which 'should' be about £30.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Not too bad considering we are almost a week in. Food shop came in under budgetonce again,dh dh has been on board by suggesting we can last an extra day when I suggest a food shop!
63p Tilly tidy made yesterday, off to check the accounts

Just managed to pay £30 off t3sco. £25 was 'owed' from having car tracking done and found £4.89 lurking in dh bills account so topped up and sent payment.
In theory we have no spare cash now (14 days until payday) but have money in savings and a £100 buffer due to childcare payment. We don't spend a great deal of cash so I'm not worried!
Childcare voucher people instructed to cancel my voucher in April. For as long as I can remember that money has been taken from my wages, looking forward to reclaiming it!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Definitely DFOD, we are also a month ahead of ourselves. I have just paid the bill for March out of February wages. Part of the reason for rushing to the end was affordability for mortgage but I'm actually looking forward to the increased income now! In theory the £170 would cover the additional borrowing. We do feel a bit in limbo with the extension, still waiting for quotes but have been approached by another builder so will get a quote for comparison from them. I am hoping we are only a couple of weeks away from planning decision being made. Architect fund only has £372 in it though! :rotfl:
Dh is having a lay in after a night out with work. I'm assuming I get tomorrow's lay in?? I'm not feeling brilliant as didn't drink enough water after giving blood last night. It at least I had no wine! Definitely kicked that Friday habit even though dh had bought me a bottle.
Two Tilly tidies made yesterday, 89p and 61p
Have £193 for food and petrol to last 13 days which is easily done. Just need to work out how much of it I can pay off cc. I will need another petrol top up so might start with a budget of £93 and still hope there is money left.

Morning all.
I had planned an early morning run before swimming lessons but motivation isn't as good as I'd hoped! Was wine free last night too despite me being tempted to have a glass. Dh got me a glass of fizzy water instead (he was hungover so not going to completely credit him with being a good influence!) I think I have had literally 5 glasses of wine this year!
Decided to pay £100 of food budget to t3sco card but stooped myself at last minute as bill due imminently. Will pay in next few days once received.
Finally worked out what my car needs. Just had 2 front tyres but looks like I need rear tyres too. Dh will sort out for me midweek.
Also need to cancel zoo membership in case direct debit kicks in! Also need to check professional subscription to see if I can opt for direct debit.
When I am busy with work there plans simply don't stay in my head.
2 loads of washing line dried yesterday and just finished off on radiators for half hour.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
