Well today has been productive. I ran over 13 miles this morning, visited a new build development and got completely seduced by the showhome. Did a food shop with intention of using £6/40 voucher. Shop came in at £40.04!!! Then took the children to a birthday party.
Now.....if only I had also managed to sell the house!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Thanks Helen. I did 13.25 miles in 2hrs 11 minutes. Hoping to do the half in about 2 hours. No more long runs in my planner now as my half is in 2 weeks. How is your training going?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Your house will sell.
Have some of my patience...that I haven't got!!0 -
Fingers crossed. Not sure if it was a good idea or not but the website assured me getting an AIP quote would not effect credit as it's a soft credit check. It seems Hally are a bit more generous than FD! The figure they offered is one we are comfortable with and really opens up our options should the house we want sell before we do. However, the new development is releasing the last phase so maybe a bargain to be had????
Final monthly spends update:
Food £280.97
Petrol £163.84
Total £444.81
This is under budget but it's still a surprise how much we spend. Those little shops really add up!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I'm trying to strike the balance between running stuff down and running out - which as I've only really started in the last year of running down Armageddon size stocks is rather tricky!! My head is just not used to it (although I only live just over a mile from a huge 24hour Tosco, so all 'emergencies' can usually be dealt with)

I don't think your food spending is that high. Petrol:eek: although having said that I've filled up an extra time this month so spent £120, usually I aim for £80, its the extra trips with not being at work.HOME

That's a fab time. I'm hoping 2 & 1/2.
My grocery (and toiletries etc) spend is always about £500 + , I do have 3 teenager's and 3 cats plus we all take pack ups so there's no extra spending, I can't seem to reduce, despite my best efforts.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

I'm trying to make sure we don't run out of basics as its the popping in for milk and bread that leads to a mini shop. Petrol spends bit high as we run two cars and I use mine for my commute amd throughout the day. I generally get about £80 petrol expenses monthly though.
Well, my diary is 5 years old today!!!!!
96p Tilly tidy made, have £53 to last just over 2 weeks. This isn't food/petrol but day to day spends so achievable.
The house we wanted is stc on the agents website. However, we have a viewing on ours this weekend at the same time we are booked into view a show house. Maybe it is a sign?? I am trying to remain positive but it is already causing insomnia! Things will be tight with FD mortgage offer too so may need to switch lenders. That said, the paperwork required for a remortgage is endless so switching lenders shouldn't require much extra effort!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!1
