Oooh - exciting - another possible move on the cards - we can all follow along virtually
:D
Well done on all of your achievements!:T
Re: uniforms - I only top up uniforms each year - ie: buy what's needed. That has meant just some new blouses for DD (@ £12 each one!), a pack of new shirts for DS1 (only 2 new ones, but went through his old ones and there are 4 which are still ok - threw some out to ragbag) DS1's rugby top is too small, but he's going into Y11 so he said he'll keep on with it and try and do another activity (he dislikes rugby anyway) - I don't want to buy a new one just for the Winter term as I costs about £25 and they have to have them embroidered with their name on the front in large font, so you can't even re-sell
DS2 needs new trousers and I think I'm going to have to buy next for the fit - must get on with that. I bought him one new crested jumper and we were given 3 from a friend (but they are faded - so I bought one for photo days etc!) DS3 needs nothing that I'm aware of - and we have everything in the next size up hand me down anyway (I'm still using the coloured/ crested polo shirts which DD wore.....:rotfl:)
They do all need new school shoes - we always do Clarks (have an hour's appt next week) as all 4 have issues - extra wide feet, skinny feet, narrow heels, shallow feet etc - it's a nightmare! The shoes do tend to last a full year though (just...!!) I also need new PE trainers for DS2 and DS3 - will try and get cheapy ones, as they wear them once a week for 30-45 mins, so don't want to fork out on Clarks ones for that! (I think my worst school shoe shop a few years ago was about £270 in Clarks - and then we needed to go and get rugby boots and white sports trainers for DS1 from elsewhere - so I think I spent about £350 on school footwear that day!!:eek:I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Dd ended up needing a lot this year as she now wants skirts instead of pinafores and a shirt and tie instead of a polo shirt. My little girl is growing up! Managed to get her 2 skirts from mr s yesterday for £6 but not 100% they fill fit for long as they had limited sizes. I have something though and can add to or replace as needed. Just new cardigans and pe bags left to get and I'm done!
EA coming again today to take photos and I assume for us to sign up. Have also got the ball rolling with mortgage application, they have gone really mean with their borrowing though!nwe can borrow more than enough but the figure is less than when we bought this and earned hardly anything! I guess having 2 children and nursery fees doesn't help with the affordability.
We expressed our interest in the house we viewed but sales agent was a bit of a wet lettuce and I've no faith in him! I will just keep an eye on rightmove to see if it stays on the market. There is quite a lot in our price range on rightmove though so will keep our options open if it sells.
Small food shop yesterday, seem to be sticking to budget well so far this month.
We both get paid at the end of this week too!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Everything seems to be going in the right direction. We have a week full of appointments despite both working full time. No idea how we are fitting it all to be honest!
Payday for DH today so the account looks healthy at last! Am going to be smart with our money and keep some of the cc money in an account in case we need that money to move due to affordability. If mortgage offer goes up a bit we can then pay it straight off the cards. We have been offered enough, I just want to keep our options open.

Affordability tests are really stringent now. We'd fail to even get £25k over 3years from our lender (even though as existing customers we don't *have* to have the same checks as new ones) - crazy when we paid back more than that in the last 12 months - when I kept our earnings artificially low! I think if you put our figures in we could get something like £17k!!!:D S'good job I'm not planning on moving!!:rotfl::rotfl:I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Payday has arrived. Money shuffle done! DH has moved onto monthly pay and there seem to be major issues. Last month everyone got paid for 3 weeks amd his wages are lower this month :money: DH is going to ask for a breakdown of hs wages which he has has in the past so we know is available. He seems to have lost at least 16 hours somewhere. Will look in more detail over the weekend as I usually keep a track of his OT.
67p Tilly tidy and 0% cc paid. Other money diverted to savings. Amount achievable depends on how long this place takes to sell!
All photos taken for property and brochure ready. We should officially be on the market this weekend. I have checked website but we are not in yet. I haven't seen the final pics but have approved most of them so can't wait to see it!
What a week. This time last week we had no intention of moving anywhere!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
