Plans were caught up in Summer holidays I think. We're planning on getting the EA round next week to value the house. Trouble is I keep looking and there's nothing on the market that is for us.

Well it's been a fairly productive day. Posted off mortgage paperwork so that should be with them Tues. As I recall from organising our last fixed deal, FD are really good at sending text reports on the progress.

House has remained clean and tidy despite it being the weekend. Mopped floors once children went to bed or it's pointless! All beds changed and 3 loads of washing done. Took the children to a local restaurant that has small events running and ds was able to play with his very first best friend. It was interesting to see how they greeted each other, I think they wanted to hug but stopped themselves! DH not feeling 100% so I took the children alone but he made a yummy lasagne and beef and mushrooms in pepper sauce while i was out.

Did a small food shop (spends updated) and took advantage of the last day of 25% off clothes at Mr S and my £6 off £40 voucher. Got ds some trousers as he keeps going through the knees! Am hoping he won't need as many clothes once he starts school. I got some boots for dd, she is incredibly fussy about what she wears and refuses to dress up nicely! I am expecting her to be very high maintenance when she is older to balance it out. Sold some bedding sets for £11 today so this offset the cost of the boots so pleased with that.

Other than that, mostly been on rightm0v3!!!

If this house that we love sells and we don't get it, I can't find anything else worth moving for either. We would hold out for a good sale price, rent and take our time to look for our plan B.

Thanks GG, having a few teething problems with EA so hoping it gets sorted quickly. Floor plans and energy report done today and phone call to FD has secured the fixed rate on any additional borrowing :)

Really trying to keep spends low. Spent £7.50 yesterday on face painting and ice creams. We took a picnic and the children had a couple of hours of fun so was worth it.

Off to check the accounts, not imagining they will look so healthy. I'd forgotten the cheque to go out for childcare. Need to move money for ISA and swimming lessons so it doesn't get swallowed up.

May be eating some interesting meals for the rest of the month to keep food spends down!

Thanks Helen. Well done, rain is ok towards the end if you've got a bit hot but not for the full run. I managed 5 miles yesterday and was planning on a good run tomorrow but my toothache has returned. I no longer have the tooth??
My half marathon is only a few weeks away so need to get some long runs in.

NSD for me as usual. dH off work and finds carp to waste his money on! We have been invited to soft play tomorrow but will hopefully just pay for admission. We need a top up shop but am waiting as long as possible as can't use another mr s voucher until Sunday.

Can't believe how fast the end of the month is approaching!

    Food spends. - £246.57
    Petrol spends - £163.84

Spends not too bad at all for the month. I will need petrol before the end of the month but DH may be ok. Am pleased with food spends as this includes wine and cleaning products. Have almost used up our meat man delivery and have ordered another for the weekend. Day to day I am still spending very little which keeps the bank account looking healthy :)

For sale sign went up today and mortgage company contacted about more information they need. Honestly, we want to borrow very little extra and could probably easily get a bank loan for a reasonable APR!

We are however just about to start drinking tomorrow evening's wine. It's been that kind of day!!

Thank you, just had the one glass.

My S&S ISA isn't doing too well, every time I check there is less money in there! Good job I am not a big investor.
This evening I need to do a final check of the accounts, all cc are paid amd I will check totals ready for WIOTW figure, that came round fast this month. Meter readings also need to be submitted so will get DH on the case with that.

House insurance also due for renewal next month so need to start investigating renewal quotes/cashback offers. Over the weekend also need top pick up last bits of uniform and book birthday party for the children. I am far too busy to be in work all week! :)

I am really looking forward to bank holiday and an extra day off. Best bit is the shorter working week that follows.

Money news? Made a 44p Tilly tidy recently! I've spent about £2.00 this week. DH however is likely to be blitzing through his personal spends!
