  • I'd go with geraniums, but pansies are nice too. My pansies don't seem to last as well as tulips, cyclamen, geraniums etc.

Thank you. Popped to @ldi on the way home and they had some bedding plants for £3.99 so bought 2 packs. I now have a lovely bowl of smiley pansies, a planter with cyclamen, geranium, ivy and a pretty pink plant and replaced a poor looking specimen from my hanging basket. I came home from work to see DH must have pretty much worked non stop after work. Both lawns mowed, hedges trimmed, patio weeded, washing done, bathroom decluttered and playroom tidied!

It really is a lot of work trying to convince someone to buy your house! Found another property this evening, well in budget. Not perfect but 3 double bedrooms, modern house, in a catchment area for an amazing secondary school and would cut 10 mins off my commute.

If we had an offer on our house, this house hunting would be quite fun!!

  • I can't help it, just popped into rightmove. It's very addictive. Although I did notice a dooer upper in our village sstc on for £350k it's a bit smaller than our house too. We paid £280k 2 years ago looks like prices are going through the roof.
  • Not sure how long we will last MF again TBH... last time managed about 2 years. I think the desire to move forward becomes too much.
Must be so exciting, the prospect of moving soon, I know its hard work but it feels so good. Pleased /excited for you... just a teeny bit jealous..

  • Oooh, this looks like a nice diary talking about garden flowers, running and house moves. will subscribe.

I hate moving house, so stressful - but at the same time I love the fresh start, the new house etc. We have moved into what we wanted to be our forever house, but I can't see that being the case really.. have to make the decision soon though before we start some big house work that we will only do if we are staying here forever!

I want to start running soon, having just not had the time with young twins (excuse I know - but I'm either at work, with the little people or asleep).

Good luck with the house selling process!

Hi debt free, thanks for popping in. Do you have a diary? Time management for running is the hardest bit! I work full time with 2 children but honestly think I only get the time to go as DH is really supportive and will start bedtime routine for me to go quickly after work etc and will take the children out while I disappear for a couple of hours for my longer runs. How old are your twins?

Wow, what an exhausting day! I spent the morning getting the house perfect ready for the viewing whist DH took the children out. We then went to see a new build as the agents were showing the viewers round. Ended up going to a development further away to see the house type we want as a furnished property. DH's sat nav has a mind of its own so we got lost quite a lot. However, we loved the house and if we sell this are hoping to get it at a good price. The sales woman has let slip a few times that the more expensive properties are going at much lower prices.

Spends today were on a KFC meal. We never eat out like this so the children really saw it as a novelty and I didn't think viewing the house when we were all hungry would be a good idea! So £14.99 spent on that. The housing company are going to send us a fuel voucher so will top up dh petrol when the money arrives.

    Food. - £43.93
    Petrol - £72.13

Also managed a quick run when we got home, really didn't want to go but my race is next week. Forced myself to do 4.5 miles. Funny how i can run much further and love every minute and some runs are really hard!!
