Your running goes from strength to strength, you remind me very much of a work friend who can't stay still for long
Wishing you luck for a quick house sale. People moving up the chain in Scotland at the moment have the opposite problem from those of you down South - you can sell incredibly fast, but it's very hard to find something nice to move to!
I can relate to the exhaustion of getting your place ready for selling. We managed 15-16 viewings in a week and I spent something like 10 hours at the weekend, followed by an hour and a half a day keeping the place clean and tidy. Worth it in the end, but left me absolutely frazzled :eek:0 -
Yeah, remember selling. Its really hard to keep it "viewing ready" with kids. I half think its worse if it sold instantly, as then you'd be thinking "did I put it on too low". I remember keeping a close eye on right move prices, and deciding to drop to become competitive as we already owned the next house and was paying a lot out in interest and stress levels of owning 2 properties were getting higher, then it sold within days.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's hard isn't it, the right agent is a must though, I remember spending 6 months with an agent once and not one viewings, changed agents and sold within weeks!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thanks for the house tips, as long as we keep getting steady progress feedback I will see how we go. My half marathon is tomorrow Ed, think there are a few taking place around the country, I'm really looking forward to it
Dd had her first piano lesson and loved it. She was a bit nervous beforehand but came out of there saying it was amazing! Teacher was lovely with her and not fixated on the time. She was in the middle of showing dd something when next student came in but finished what she was teaching. A lot was squeezed into the lesson too. I was so proud as dd played something to the teacher that she said was part of grade one exams and was really surprised that dd had taught herself from y0utub3!
Have I done anything financially related? Not a lot but keeping spends low but have found some funds lurking in an account I was keeping back in case we suddenly sold! Not a lot but I can pay it off the cc.
Have got a thought that I keep going over and can't work out what is for the best?
Now we are looking at more expensive properties I want to maximise our equity. I am assuming that the additional funds amount won't change but the existing amount borrowed will go down in line with mortgage reducing through standard repayments. Would it be an option in the short term to cancel OP's and either knock off cc or keep in a savings account?

Hi debt free, what lessons are you considering. Dd has just started piano and also wants to learn guitar so we bought her a cheap second hand one for her birthday. I didn't start learning an instrument until much older so also happy to nurture it.
Hi Helen, yes it was fab! Well organised run, regular drinks stations and according to my phone app I did 21.3km in 2:08. Hoping my chip time will reduce that slightly as we had a bit of a walk down to the start line behind the elite runners and I wasn't able to stop it as soon as the run ended. I have never wanted to see a finish line so badly, I saw DH with the children and as I ran past the over the line I nearly burst into tears as I was so overwhelmed with emotion.
Bit of a spendy day as we bought some snacks to occupy the children during my run and needed safety pins. Almost £10 spent then DH spent another £4 on drinks and ice creams and then a chippy tea for them on the way home. I have about £4 in my purse to last until Friday. Am out for lunch midweek but have already paid a deposit so this money should last! Will see what's left in the current account and pay off cc towards the end of the week.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Thanks both, official time 2:07:12. I have already entered for another run next month. Only 10k this time! :rotfl:
It has all gone very quiet on the house front. No news of potential viewers and am perhaps relaxing too much. I would definitely need a good couple of hours child free to prepare for a viewing!! However, we have had a few jobs done we hadn't rushed, bathroom flooring replaced and it looks cleaner and bigger, window locks replaced in playroom as we had lost the keys, seal replaced (under warranty) on an exterior door.
Am expecting some funds to become payable soon on TCB but they are taking their time. Also, as part of TCB when we took out 8T broadband we were meant to have a pre-paid visa card. I received the cashback ages ago but not sure who to chase this up with?
Payday a few days away, it needs to hurry up!
