Do them in small amounts and tip each mini-batch into a dish and you'll be fine :)

I use my goblet blender to make crumbs

it's best not to do more than a couple of slices at a time & tear them into chunks before putting them in, also you'll probably have to take it off the base & give it a shake a couple of times to re-distribute the big bits & get it all crumbed

EDIT ... oops, slight cross-posting there squeaky :o

    Do what you love :happyhear
  • I find that if the breadcrumbs are too large, if you lay them on a baking tray and dry them out in a warm oven (when you've had it on for something else, obviously :D) you can blitz them again and they are so much easier to crumb into tiny pieces, like the size of bought ones.

The other week I was very pleased with myself for not letting some bread go mouldy as I whizzed it up to make breadcrumbs. However, they are now in the freezer waiting for me to think of something to do with them!

I love making puddings, and my OH and I are meat eaters, so anything chicken or sausage or beef related would be good please!

Thank you in advance good people of MSE for your ideas for breadcrumb related recipes! :T

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.
