I was on the phone to them for an hour and a half last week, passed from one dept to another then back again. This was my third call on the same subject, they c*cked up my £10 a month deal to match Tesco. How they managed to make such a mess of it is beyond belief........................like you, i have been with them for years but imho after they were sold off by Richard Branson the customer service has gone downhill at a rate of knots.

Just been on to Virgin, Customer Service was atrocious. Spent 55 minutes of being passed around before losing patience and requesting PAC code + cancelling contract after 13 years with them. Phoned Tesco and signed up for 10 quid deal in 5 minutes, just had email to confirm details, looks promising so far, fingers crossed. :)

Hi
I wondered if you could help me.

I'm currently with o2 on a rolling monthly contract, i pay £15 a month, for that i get 600 mins 600 texts and unlimited internet.

Would i be better changing over to this deal,

i never go over my mins or texts. i don't download anything, i just use the internet for facebook, when i'm a bit bored at work, i don't send picture messages, butm i do send the occasional text message to germany to relatives, so the odd text can send me over the £15 a month.

thank you

Hi,
I've activated my SIM but it won't work in my Iphone.
I'm with 02 and have given in my 'notice'.
Does this means my iphone is locked?

Even if it was, the Tesco network uses O2 so it should be fine. Must be something else?
• I can confirm that the £10 SP tariff allowing 500 minutes 3000 text messages (the fair usage cap for unlimited) and 500 megabytes of internet browsing (the fair usage cap for unlimited data) is valid until Sunday the 10th of October 2010.

Please go to your nearest Tesco Phone store that sells handsets and SIM cards (usually the Extra stores) or dial telesales 0800 001 4150 to purchase this offer before Sunday.

Therefore you only have until Sunday to sign up for this offer.

I today allowed T Mobile to persuade me to stay with them on a similar deal but only 100 minutes - perhaps I should have moved

I am with o2, and rang them to see if they could better my deal, and it was a flat no! but they gave me my PAC code for free. I couldn't see this deal in any Tesco, so i just bought one of the 99p sim cards. As I am o2, the Tesco sim works fine, no unlocking needed. I then rang Tesco, gave her the mobile number on my 99p sim card, and asked for the £10 deal. I must admit she kept me hanging on for ages, and as she had taken my home phone number, I just hung up, and she rang me back !( crafty tip, make sure they have your home phone number, and you have started giving your details before you do this!) This is a fantastic deal for a tenner a month. She did say at Tesco this offer finishes soon, so don't hang about if you want it! I cant get over what a bargain it is!:j

Just transferred my kids to this one today after no success with Virgin. Old numbers port over on Wednesday so lets see how we go. the only thing that surprised me was that I had to pay the first £10 for each contract in advance. Next payment on DD is due on 15/11/10.

Last time i was with Tesco the CS and the signal were both excellent so...

Bye bye Virgin and your hopeless customer service. Hello Tesco.

The person we spoke to on Saturday, said that it doesn't work on I-phones - Iphone 4 needs a mini sim, so I guess there must be something else which an I-phone needs to work which this offer does not support.

Would it be ok if i brought it from the O2 shop then use this sim only deal? Would they issue me with the micro sim straight away? And will I need to give them the PAK code to keep my number before i buy the sim, or can i do it after?

al202020 ; Just ordered from Tesco today and they were happy to send me a micro-sim.
Have a look on page 7 al202020 #131 on this thread.

italiastar phone them again & say you need a micro sim!
