Just to let you know unlimited internet with Tesco probably won't be truly unlimited. It will probably be 500mb or 1gb a month.
If you look at the bottom of this page, their unlimited browsing 7 day pass is actually limited to 100mb.

I don't know if this is limited to Iphone contracts with Tesco, but I have six months to run on mine, and my unlimited data is capped at a terabyte, the highest cap on any network, so they say.
However they my have reviewed this for new customers, as I know there was a hoohaa recently about unlimited data on mobile networks being unsustainable or something.
Is this £10 offer indefinate, as this is what i'll be moving to when y iPhone contract ends in 6 months time?0 -

Looking at the Tesco site, my account, it does not seem to show this. Any other experiences before I call customer services?
@portchieboy re your post #151
I did this a couple of months back (transferred a Tesco PAYG with a credit balance to Tesco Pay Monthly). You will get the credit on your first bill, which for me was after the first month of the contract. Until then you can't see your credit on your online account, but it is there - just be patient!0 -
Just a word to those who've been asking about unlocking handsets for the Tesco Mobile network:
As has previously been stated, Tesco uses the O2 mobile network masts etc and so the coverage should be identical, for both 2G (voice and text) and 3G (internet and data).
However, Tesco is totally separate from O2 when it comes to handset locking. Handsets locked to Tesco will not work on O2; handsets locked to O2 will not work on Tesco. I know this from first-hand experience. In both cases, you will need to follow the usual steps to get the phone unlocked by the 'old' network.
(This is based on my experience as a consumer, not as an industry expert, but it is correct to the best of my knowledge.)
Now, I'm off to phone Tesco about that deal... :beer:0 -
got my sim card today
rang o2 up about price matching, but they wouldn't, my mate rang orange (her provider) up and they price matched today.
just received my pac code from o2
does anyone know how long your phone is switched off for, before the transfer is done, also which sim do i have to have in the phone for the change over
thanks0 -

Just done this (son just LEFT Tesco - before I knew about this deal!!). It will happen two working days after you give your new network the PAC code. On that day, just accept that there will be some interruption to the service. Basically you should wait till late in the afternoon by sending texts to/from your phone and by making and receiving a test call. When the 'old' number is active on the new network's SIM (Tesco, presumably), swap it into the phone you normally use. It all worked fine for me (yesterday).0 -

As I understand it, phones locked to the Tesco network will not accept an O2 sim, but phones locked to O2 *will* accept a Tesco Mobile sim.0 -

My son's just got this deal used my O2 phone & it worked straight away with no problems. It is Tesco phones that are locked!0 -
Hi All.
I don't know if anyone can help me.
Just went to my local Tesco's picked up two Sim cards... phoned the 0800 number, was on the phone for almost a hour and now been told my address is not on there system.
it would take a week for it to show and then they can set it up... but (offer ends sunday) said something about there equinox system... nothing they can do.
is this correct? anything I can do about it!?
I'm currently on o2 and paying £20 a month for mine, so saving £10 would be great for me right now.
only thing I can think off is for my girlfriend to order a Sim card at her address, then I swap over my debit card after a month and put it on my card.
helps!
edit: - if I log onto there logon they gave me when setting it up.. my address is there but I see this - 14E Order Cancelled
now I have two orders showing... but both cancelled...
bit wrong they won't allow me to keep this deal next week even though I ordered today and its there problem...not sure now if I want to go through all the hassle again...0
